Great location, busy and delicious food. We sat at the bar, which we preferred but best to book if more than two people. It's very popular.

Came to have a traditional Sunday roast while visiting Scotland. Knew the food would be good, but didn't expect the staff to be so excellent as well. Ciara especially was an absolute delight and took our experience from a 10/10 to a 20/10.

Charcuterie and garlic flat bread bread were fantastic! Recommended with some balsamic and olive oil! Chef Robbie and Mark smashed it!

Just the history of this place is enough to visit it! 650 years of history!Kamil and Isla, our servers, were extremely nice! We had booked for a first floor table, but Kamil offered us the table the queen was served at during her visit on the ground floor, which we, of course, accepted! The food was really good! We had the meat pie and lamb steak. In the end, Kamil offered us a tour of the old bowling alley, where the queen mary of Scotland used to bowl!

No table service i think, but thats fine. It?s a bit pricy. I feel like it is a little overhyped.

In an amazing spot just on the side of Arthur?s seat. Ciara, chef Robbia nd chef mark were incredible providing above and beyond service for customers. Stopped in for a meal tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Both Kamil and Albi provided excellent service. The food was delicious (the seafood and chorizo pasta had great flavour), and the atmosphere warm. After several days of travelling it was fantastic to have a table that I could get my knees under and have a comfortable chair to relax in. They stock a good cellar..

Great food, friendly attentive service, really lovely genuine people. We popped in after visiting Dr Neil's garden and strolling around the village. Great drinks list and fast service. We had an incident with our son who has been sick all week and Camille and Alby were compassionate, discreet and thorough. Highly recommend for their top notch service.

Wonderfully delicious steak, very good sea bass, excellent fish and chips, and very tasty chicken stuffed with haggis. Very friendly staff. Great service! Worth our trip from the US!

Family lunch, lovely food and very interesting pub, steeped in history, spent most of the time looking at the old pics and ornaments.
