BEWARE, gave me a figure to transfer over the phone, also put it in writing but still conned me out of £7000, main problem is they have staff who do not know what they are doing.

My Husband passed away in July 2017 still waiting to be paid out from Scottish Widows, they have been juggling back and forward asking for information wanting me to spend more money at the Lawyers asking me to get a probate from court till they see who they are paying the money to. I was married to him and have two young dependent children age 6 and 9 yrs old I can not stress enough how much we are struggling and they seem to be taking their time. I would really think hard if anyone is even considering taking their pension out with this firm. I am also going to go to my husbands work and let the management team know the hassle I have had with this company and maybe they will re consider promoting Scottish Widows to their employees.

Horrible to deal with my father past away 2 weeks ago me and my family had calculated that they have took £37.000 over the years my parents paid it but would only pay out £13.700 when asked they said that's the policy you took. So basically just ripped them off for 20K and would have been more if my father happened past away. Absolutely disgusting so they are a would say more but I shall leave it there.

My father passed away on 16th November last year. Scottish widows still haven't paid out his investment. I also dealt with prudential, they paid out within a fortnight. Looks like they are trying to keep hold of his money as long as possible. Very very poor customer relations at a time of great stress.
