Minus stars if I could. I've now had two really disappointing, and frankly concerning experiences with food from this particular Sainsbury?s.
First, I bought a pack of grated cheese that was well within its use-by date, only to find it completely mouldy when I opened it at home. I went straight back to the store, where the staff member simply told me to grab another packet off the shelf?no apology, no explanation, just a shrug and a replacement.
More recently, I purchased a bag of frozen chicken nuggets. They tasted off, and unfortunately gave me food poisoning. When I returned to the store, I noticed a sign on their freezers saying they had been faulty, suggesting the nuggets had likely thawed and been refrozen before I bought them.
It?s incredibly concerning that food safety doesn't seem to be taken seriously here. No customer should have to risk their health due to poor handling and storage of food.

The best grocer shop on Marchmont with a wide range of freshly replenished fruits and vegetables, and packaged in-date ready-to-cook meals on their shelves. But they really stand out with their FRESHLY BAKED BREAD AND PASTRIES. Friendly assistants for polite personal service at check-out or 3 optional self-checkout machines if it's busy. I walk the extra mile for this superior quality and range of products everyday.

Well stocked and extremely convenient for local residents. They do seem to charge slightly more than larger Sainsbury's but not too much more.

Always had a good experience here, all the staff are lovely and super chatty. Very straight forward layout and fair selection for the size of the shop

Friendly employees and there was good distancing considering the small space. All staff in masks too, no noses in sight.

Disgraceful that they are allowed to open as normal at the moment this is a very small store , yet they cram in as many customers as they can to close proximity putting their customers and shop floor workers at risk. Even the self service tills are a breeding ground for germs . They might claim they've taken the necessary health advice. However almost all the advice out there is social distancing is imperative and business should adhere to the unprecedented times we are living in. But I suppose profits before people is the reality . Last night when I went it . The cues were tight and it was packed.

Went in to buy a 4 pack of lager and decided to wait for a customer assistant normally I use the self service. I was shouted at by a customer service assistant that there was a self service. Very rude. I pointed out that my purchase would need verified and she continued to shout at me. I told her I did not appreciate being ordered to use the self service but received no apology.
