This supermarket used to be excellent, with great service. But ever since the new Lidl stores opened, it seems like they?ve been reducing staff, and the few employees left are doing the work of four people.
It?s unbelievable that at 5 pm, on one of the busiest days in weeks, they had all the checkouts closed and forced everyone to use self-service. Self-checkout is fine if you?re buying a few items, but not when you have a full trolley. It?s also not suitable for elderly people. In my opinion, this supermarket is going downhill. It?s a shame, because some of the staff are really good at what they do, but you can clearly see they?re overstretched and doing the job of several people.

Traditional supermarket. We'll stocked and with competitive prices. It has more brand variety than Lidl or Aldi. It also offers price match to discount supermarket chains prices

This supermarket is dreary, grubby and very poorly stocked.
At 2.30pm today, a Sunday afternoon, the shelves throughout this supermarket were seriously depleted and dishevelled, thus revealing years of ground in grime.
The refrigerated and chilled cabinets were similarly scruffy, disordered and in serious need of cleaning. The entire store needs a thorough scrub!
There is a large branch of Lidl in the parade of shops where this store is located. The shelves in this branch of Lidl are very tidy, the store is clean and product availability is very good. These are standards that Sainsbury's would do well to emulate.
How the mighty Sainsbury's has sunk to an all time low!
Penny pinching on sales' and cleaning staff is not the way to go.
