Ran all the way there from my flat so I could make it on time to buy milk for the morning - only for them to decide to close 5 mins early ?.
I work in customer service too, I get that staff wanna get home early (the reason they gave for closing early) but what?s 5 more mins? That?s just enough time to disappoint (at least) 3 customers who managed to technically make it in time whilst giving your staff a whopping 5 mins of extra freedom ?.
Another customer was arguing with the manager so I didn?t wanna pile on, but I just think if you say you close at 11pm then you should be open until then.

Very rude staff at till. Very poor attitude, disrespectful (and probably racist).
Edit: I called in and David was very attentive, patient, and apologetic for our experience. We are thankful to David for his hard work and hope Sainsbury will continue to do better.

Go to any of the other shops nearby. Selection is poor, security are aggressive. I went in for garlic bread- usually there is one that is dairy free but I couldn?t see it, checked the ingredients of the other garlic bread- had dairy left it in the freezer. Wandered round saw nothing that I was after and left. Security essentially ran after me touched my bag and demanded to see what was in it telling me I had stolen ice cream. I explained I hadn?t bought anything I was looking for garlic bread and they didn?t have what I was after. Embarrassingly for him there was nothing in my bag, he started shouting at me saying you put the ice cream back then? He did apologise but horrible experience go anywhere else.

One of the staff was being rude against us. We walked up to the self-service machine and the machine was not working. We then moved close to the one that is next the broken machine and waited for the staff to finish cleaning, then the woman who was doing the cleaning just started shouting at us.

Staff are rude and the selection of products is poor. I'd recommend visiting the other Sainsbury's local closer to Waverly.

Generally great store with approachable personel but Spanish lady selling me cigarettes was the rudest, untrained casheer you are going to encounter in Edinburgh today.

Extremely RUDE and RACIST staff in this store. We bought alcohol and used the self-check out machine, so a staff is needed to confirm our age. However, the woman behind the counter was just chatting with other customers and didn?t even look at us.
Fine, it?s reasonable to wait, but she began chatting with customers one after another, didn?t even give us a gesture or a look. And when I got tired of waiting and walked to the counter, she looked at me, put her mask on slowly and told us to mind social distance, just because we are Asian.
I know people don?t look at reviews when going to shops like this, but the staff here is ridiculous. Don?t go if you are Asian.
