Staff are extremely rude especially the lady who works there she is in her 40s, I went there as a costumer and as a delivery driver, both times I said hi to her she replies to me with saying one second with a disgust face and I told her I said hi to you she was like do you have a problem with that, staff are not polite or nice out there I wouldn't advice going there especially if you are a delivery driver, make sure you train your staff at least the basics of costumer service cause it seems like they are doing us a favour working there..

i go here almost every day and have done for the last 5 years as it?s my local , there has occasionally been rude staff but they are no longer there , there is one man who seems to always be working who is just the loveliest person ever , occasionally had issues with my ID

Refused to sell me medicine even though I showed them my passport, student ID and BRP. I am 19 years old, and they couldn't even sell me paracetamol. They said I don't look like I am 16. They were also incredibly rude. Never coming back.

Only started going back to this store recently after a staff member was spreading malicious gossip about customers and I wish I hadn't bothered. In the last few days have spoken to a few sales assistants and the manager who when I have said hello have been extremely rude and walked past me not acknowledging I am there. Politeness and manners cost nothing and are a crucial part of the customer experience and this is probably due to a lack of training and turnover of staff. Unacceptable not going back.

Moved away from the area now but shop is in good location. Prices are high and stock is limited. Mainly 1 star for staff. Often no staff around, or staff that ignore you. At the time there was one lovely guy who always seems to be there but I had one dreadful experience of a staff member being extremely rude and confrontational. When trying to find a manager to complain to he followed me about the shop making me feel very uncomfortable. When I found a manager she allowed him to stand beside me defending himself until I said this was inappropriate. All handled very badly.

As Jody B says- it's a sainsburys. Nothing amazing or additional to any other local grocer in the area. Bonus that it's located on the way home if coming from the city so it's a good place to stop for essentials, but that's about it really.

This is a Sainsbury's. - End Review - Ok ok, I suppose I can muster up a few more words for this little shop, but at the end of the day, that first line rings true: this is a Sainsbury's... so if you've been to ANY other Sainsbury's, you basically understand the gist of this spot. This isn't a big Sainsbury's. It's a little express shop that carries the essentials and that's about it, but living in Stockbridge, it's a handy spot to stop at on my walk home. They carry mini pots of Graham's Ice Cream and Lick Frozen Yogurt, which keeps me from eating entire pints of ice cream when my sweet tooth hits (yay) but their fruit is oddly higher priced than the big Sainsbury's down at Craigleith (boo). I don't actually think I've ever interacted with the staff, as I'm usually in and out in under five minutes, after going through the self check out, but i'm sure they are nice enough for people you talk to for less than 20 seconds... So to summarize: this is still a Sainsbury's... and i'm ok with that.
