Called in for a cup of coffee at approximately 11.15 am today. Our first impressions were it was bright and spacious. However, once we had purchased our coffees (which were served in disposable cups) we went to the rear of the establishment to find a comfortable seat.
This area horrified us. The seating was torn and stained and covered in crumbs. The panelling was dirty, dusty on the ledges and covered in greasy marks and signs of liquid splashes. There were crumbs all over the floor around tables and a pillar had missing decorative rail. There is a sign (one of many) - "Please take care" highlighting the highest hygiene standards in kitchens. I can only hope this is true and the kitchen area does not resemble the front of house.
My wife used the toilets and discovered that there were two areas where the floor appears to give way underfoot - one in the cubicle doorway and one directly in front of the toilet. The gents cubicle had no toilet paper!
This whole establishment would be well advised to take note of the following motto....The standards you walk past,, are the standards you accept.
Parking: Situated close to Waverley train station.
Wheelchair accessibility: All on street level, including accessible toilet

Very quiet when we visited. Only had 2 coffees and a cake each, so I thought it was a bit expensive. Toilets left a lot to be desired. Rather, dirty and hand drier did not work.

It's always nice to find a Pret A Manger nearby, offering different dining options. Sandwiches, cold wraps, hot wraps, soup, drinks, coffee and so on, it's the perfect option to have a complete meal with good value for money!

Nice place to sit down, very nice staff. A lot of the food was out of stock when i was there, just 1 vegetarian sandwich left. Coffee at Pret is always good!

I"ll admit to being a fan of Pret. It's the Wawa of Europe (meant as an ultimate compliment). While we have a few in the States they are fleeting. Perfect here at this stop in Edinburgh. Clean, bright, good selections. Friendly. Yogurt and berries, coffees and sandwiches.
