Room was always smelly, not very quiet. Had to di connect a ticking clock just to sleep. Had a transaction taken for a charge to my card. Had to chase this up twice with staff to get it returned. Bar closes at 10am!!!!!!! Cmon! Had a great shower though and it was clean to be fair

The environment is actually quite good. It's 20 minutes by bus to the city center. 30 minute walk to Portobello Beach! What more could you want?
Well, quite a bit. My room had no light. Others in the double room only had one towel. After a complaint you were given dirty towels. The heating didn't work in one room.
And on the first day (we had booked with breakfast), that was no longer available. Not for the whole week! Canceled without replacement.
Thank goodness the gas station right next door is well equipped!
Wild whirring from various technical devices rounded off the overall result.
There is one star because it was dry so far and at least on the surface there were no animals to be seen...

More affordable than other hotels in the centre of Edinburgh and direct transport or cheap Ubers. Convenient and quiet room with great blackout curtains and lots of well lit mirrors. Lovely friendly receptionist who welcomed us at our late night check in. Room was let down by lazy cleaners - empty shampoo dispenser in shower and dust/dirt had collected. Lots of food for breakfast and well cooked. Unfortunately no gluten free toast or cereal available and we had a long wait to be seated. Quiet and pretty restaurant space. Would come again.
Nearby activities: Uber to beach, centre and Arthur?s seat. Very convenient location for price.

I am always quite happy with Premier Inn but this one showing its age. A bit decrepit. There is a reason it?s the cheapest Premier Inn in Edinburgh I suppose. Was there are festival time and the city full.
Food and drinks: The Beefeater was only open for an understaffed breakfast and no dinner at all in the evenings. Bar closed at nine. Staff shortages apparently,
but quite inconvenient.

Walkability: You can walk to the city but bus stops are just outside the entrance
Food and drinks: Attentive staff and great breakfast

Another good stay at Premier inn. However Beefeater was closed for food ( other than breakfast) it would have been nice to be told this in advance so we could alter our plans.

The rooms are good, not brilliant, but it's a 3 star hotel so you can not grumble about anything. The room has everything you need especially a lot of lights, a couple of chairs and a nice comfy bed, curtains are great for blocking out the light too.
The hotel is 3 miles from the royal mile so it is a lot cheaper than hotels in the town centre, buses in and out of town are every 10 mins and the taxis are reasonably priced.
We loved our stay at the premier Edinburgh east hotel and Tesco is next to the hotel for food beers etc.
The staff are what make the experience better, they are so welcoming and are their when ever you need them and they all have such great hospitality.
Andrew was brilliant and my favourite member of staff, he really looked after us and mari Anna was great too. Going there again next year, it's a bargain, only going back to see Andrew ? your a star.
Nearby activities: Just visit Edinburgh it's amazing ?

We didn't like it. Rooms, cleaning which I had to have redone as the room with the carpet was quite dirty and service. Location easily reachable by buses that stop on the road adjacent to the Esso stop. Savory breakfast to be reviewed, paid but in the end we took the sweet one available at the counter. Dirty restaurant chairs. The hamburger in the restaurant with a very professional Portuguese waitress (whose name I don't remember) was good.

Amazing stay.
The rooms, food and staff were all amazing.
The room was clean and perfect for us. The staff were friendly from the receptionist who checked us in to the breakfast manager who spoke to us in Spanish.
It's out of the centre but the transport links are amazing with several buses taking you quickly into the centre.
Would happily return.
