The man at the front desk was nice enough, the room was clean enough BUT we stayed on level 4 and it absolutely STUNK.The corridor leading up to our room was so nasty, it had that really bad wet washing smell that had not dried properly (if you get what I mean).It was horrible, that carpet needs a really good clean and wash that's for sure...... It's the worst one for smells we have stayed in EVER, it was so strong.IT also would come under the door!

Typical premier inn room. Clean and comfy.We had breakfast only one morning, queued for 20 minutes to have a table, all the food needed replenishing from the continental to the cooked food so the waits were very very long! Felt sorry for the staff as they were manning breakfast AND the front desk and there were only 2 of them. People getting annoyed waiting at the front desk, people getting annoyed as they've paid for breakfast and there's no food out. It was totally unfair and disappointing to see Premier Inn not ensure there were staff to cover both areas separately. Despite being run off their feet and having to deal with many irate people, the staff were professional and kept a smile on their face!

first room i?m in, i notice some moldy scotch around the shower head ? not hygienic at all, so i go to the reception to get my room changed, the staff were really nice, i got a free breakfast as a compensation and a new room.second room, i spot some dirty stains on the matress plus one suspicious stain (probably urine) on the toilets (i did not take a picture bc i was too much grossed out to keep that in my gallery)I didn?t come to the reception again tho bc i didn?t wanna be the tiresome client but i was really disappointed. (Plus: during the entire time of my stay there were nasty stains on the elevator so no one did clean in there apparently :/

The location is ok, a bit further from the center, but it is quiet around the hotel.Rooms: Rooms have a bathroom, kettle, tea and coffee. The standard of the rooms is rather average. The windows are not very tight (you can hear noises from outside), but this is the norm in hotels at this price.Food & drinks: Food ok.Minus: the same menu in every Premier Inn and every hotel.

The location of the hotel is very central, about 10 mins from Haymarket Station and about 10-15 mins walk to the castle. We arrived very early into Edinburgh to make the most of our stay and we were allowed to leave our luggage. The room was spotless and had a really nice view. We spoke to a lady im the lift that attends to rooms and she told us the view would be great, she was not wrong!The service was great, the breakfast was good, the bacon was a tad over cooked for me but we all like things different :)Rooms: Rooms are very spacious and the bed was raised to fit luggage underneath.Nearby activities: There is lots do in Edinburgh, the hotel is centrally located to be only 10-15 minute walk to the centre

The hotel is 10 minutes from the center, I recommend going down The Vennel to Grassmarket, it is a beautiful walk down the stairs and seeing the castle.The room is cozy and quiet. Well insulated and warm. Heating and hot water work well.Correct service, especially at breakfast. To have your room cleaned you have to notify reception every day in the morning.The breakfast was very complete and oriented towards the English style. Everything good except fruit and juices.Very good price quality for what it offers and its location. Recommendable.
