This is a little gem in the Premier Inn locations. The usual exception stay...great room. Two minutes to the train station and a easy journey into Edinburgh...However the most exceptional member of staff cooked our breakfast...nothing was to much trouble...I watched her look after everyone's request without any trouble...Food was fresh...OUTSTANDING...Once again thank you Premier Inn a fab stay ???

Very friendly staff and helpful. Rooms can get a bit warm during the night, even though there is aircon. Staff in the attached pub are also welcoming, I have been coming here 3 or 4 times a year since 2008 with work, and they always recognise me. The food portions are quite a bit smaller than they used to be.

We (hubby and I and our 2 kids) spent the night here after flying back from Spain. It was not too far from the airport. Our flight had been delayed and we arrived here at about 1am, but we were greeted with a smile and a very helpful member of staff who made us feel very welcome. We quickly got to our room and were very glad to get straight into bed and to sleep. We had a family room with a double bed and 2 singles. The beds were comfortable. In the morning we headed down to breakfast earlier than we had arranged but luckily there was still space for us. The lady that was running the breakfast room was lovely and friendly and great with the kids. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The breakfast room is quite small so I can understand why they ask you what time you will be heading there. As we were there just before Halloween, the lady offered the kids some sweets as we headed back to our room, which I thought was a lovely touch, although they couldn't accept them due to the gelatine. All in all a very brief but pleasant stay. Not too far to get into the city from there either.

The service from the staff at this Premier Inn was excellent. We arrived in the early hours of the morning as our flight had been delayed. We were welcomed and we were straight up to our room which was nice and big, great for a family. At breakfast the next morning the lady was very friendly and very helpful with requests for vegan breakfast items despite it being quite busy. After this our son managed to leave his toy in the room and they sent it out to us which has saved a lot of stress! A credit to the entire chain, if only they were all like this!Rooms: Rooms are nice and big, they may be a little dated compared to newer Premier Inns but it doesn't detract from anything.

You get what you pay for. Rooms are basic with no extra "frills".Both reception and cleaning staff was lovely, extremly friendly and helpful, thank you!10 mins by train - though train only runs hourly. 40 mins by bus to city center. Loved the walking distance to a huge shopping and cinema complex. -1* due to the noise of a double swing door that slamms every time a customer exits/ enters (which in my case was all through the night) couldnt quite establish the culprit.. most likely the ones after reception.

They deserve an award, in my opinion. All the basics, then they add the kind answers to questions, excellent service, and wonderful breakfasts. Best Premier Inn around! Special thanks to Nicole, Mikaahyla, Lynn, Karen, Angela, Chloe, Kerry, Molly, Robert, and Was an for making this stay a delight.Walkability: C'mon. Nearest place to Ft. Kinnaird? Pick anything from Porsche to Primark. Done & dusted.

My stay there proved efficient. It was good value for money being cheaper than the city centre with buses and trains nearby. The room was a good temperature and breakfast service in the new dining area friendly too. I had stayed there last year and was pleased to be back now.

My title says it all. Apart from the staff and the amazing breakfast I wouldn?t recommend this premier inn. For what we paid I would have expected better. The room was dated, bathroom very small, curtains didn?t fit and let light through bed very uncomfortable the floorboard creaked and you could hear people pass your room it was very noisy. The staff absolutely fabulous. Lisa in the premier inn breakfast restaurant was very attentive friendly and couldn?t do enough for anybody she worked so hard to ensure everything was tip top. The restaurant is in the premier inn itself and was very small a bit too cramped but the food was amazing and the restaurant spotless. The girls on reception again so very friendly. The railway is opposite the hotel and convenient if you want to visit Edinburgh only took 10-13 mins definitely easier than driving and trying to park. There is a restaurant next door that does good food. Location great Hotel room not great Comfortable definitely not Staff 10/10
