Dropped in here with young family as pizza express has been a solid option where you will not be amazed, but everyone will be satisfied.
This pizza express is poor.
To start we were welcome to our seat nicely but the rest of the waiting staff seemed they would literally rather be doing anything else.
The food - we ordered a Buddha bowl which consisted of some rocket, beetroot and some feta. £16! ? we asked for the grains and some were distributed.
I had a pasta and chorizo meal, the sauce was actually decent but the penne looked straight out of Aldi.
Kids eat free, great, but they get a tiny smidge of pizza and ice cream.
I felt embarrassed paying the bill and went to a proper Italian the night after with great service and food.

We visited in December and there was a problem with our service and bill. The assistant manager resolved the problem and gave us a voucher due to the inconvenience. We returned in February and had a much better experience.

Absolutely awful. I had the mozzarella sticks for starter, Mac and cheese for main and chocolate fudge cake for desert. I went with a big group of friends and those of us who ordered any type of pasta got food poisoning and were throwing up non stop the morning after. I couldn?t sleep at night from the pain in my stomach. If I could give this restaurant a negative review I would. It ruined mine and my friends? trip to Edinburgh and did not allow us to take part in any of the activities we had planned as we were stuck in our hotel rooms for the whole trip. Do not come here if you want to not be sick. Disgusting.

fully disgusting food would give a negative review if possible had the chicken parmigiana and got salmonella. service was also terrible! don?t come unless u wanna get sick

We had an incredible dining experience at Pizza Express! The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch, thanks to our wonderful server, Jordie!
Jordie was extremely sweet, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The excellent service really made our evening special!
Now, onto the food ? oh my, it was amazing! We indulged in the Pizza, Tiramisu, and Dough Balls, and each dish exceeded our expectations. The pizza crust was perfectly cooked, the tiramisu was creamy and rich, and the dough balls were soft, cheesy, and utterly addictive!
Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with Pizza Express and can't wait to return. A huge thank you to Jordie for providing exceptional service!

Pizza calzone, had little taste.
Should have been better filled.
It was not the fault of the service, they did their best and were very hospitable.

Cannot speak highly enough of this place. We come in here on our big debating school trip bringing 20x pre teens and multiple tired teachers and they are so lovely, well organised and efficient.
