Small place that filled up quickly. They were very accommodating for our group since we had a table for eight. The servers were very good. We all very much enjoyed the food. I ordered tea and was thrilled to have what I consider my first proper English tea. I didn't know what flavored to ask so I just had the server pick one out for me. When she brought a timer, I had to ask what that was for, I had no idea you had to let the Tea steep a specific amount of time. We did hear a lot of great things about the desserts, but we were disappointed in them. We would definitely go back here for food and tea, but would probably skip the desserts.

Perfect cafe across from our Airbnb. Quickly became a morning go-to before our walking expeditions. Highly recommend you drop in!

Apparently closed? Website doesn't indicate, shop window doesn't indicate, but we have walked by four or five times and it is never open.

Clean and friendly. Was on my own but felt comfortable..Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back when up in Edinburgh.

Lovely breakfast here, I had porridge with pecans and maple syrup, husband had porridge and bacon and eggs. Friends of ours had the fry. Food was delicious, quick service, friendly staff. Lovely coffee. Highly recommend

Wouldn't ever return, so disappointed by the standard of the food, my partner was served 'snotty' Eggs Benedict, fair play to the guy behind the counter, he must have been watching to see our facial expressions when served. He was straight over to ask if there was an issue.They returned the plate and the eggs were cooked better. The presentation was absolutely shocking, we ordered Croque Monsieur with a little bit of lettuce at the side, Eggs Benedict tea and coffee at the cost of £34.20. What an absolute shambles of afternoon lunch.I would expect these prices at top notch café with a side of something. What a shame!I have emailed the below address and it has returned the email unfortunately?

The manager made the whole dining experience unpleasant, he constantly raised his voice at a staff that can be heard throughout the whole setting. Food was average.

We visited to Patisserie Valerie Cafe during our Edinburgh trip to relax. Nice and cozy place to drink coffee and eat dessert :)
