“Bought two pairs of the women’s Pioneer pants in olive green and blue. Instantly love the fit and the length because I can’t find a pair of trousers that fit well until I stumbled on Rohan. I can’t wait to put them to the test when walking the West Highland Way and exploring Isle of Mull for two weeks! I’m 5”7 wearing size 10 regular.”

“Trespass sells everything you could need for reasonably priced outdoor goods. My only slight wrinkles (why I've deducted a star) are (1) service quality is very dependent on which member of staff you get (2) if something isn't in stock in store, you may be able to get it online but it won't necessarily be the same price as stores have free rein to set their own discounts and offers. Stock can be a bit tricky and online click and collect takes a while, but good, reliable and fairly cheap outdoor goods which are ideal for kids. I would like to see more about environmental and ethical credentials, though. Recommended particularly for emergency outdoor purchases as very good selection of water bottles, handy packaway rainproof jackets, foil and fleece blankets and gloves/hats/accessories!”

“The shop with the never-ending 50% off sale!A bit up and down on this one. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The issue I have is that none of them wear uniforms, so you have no idea who works there. On this occasion, I luckily found a staff member carrying a ladder, which was the only thing distinguishing them from other customers.Stock is a hit or a miss, so I would advise ordering online and getting delivered to store (this is free, while home delivery costs).”

“They aim to stack it high, sell it cheap, or at least cheaper. So with footwear that means own brand only and no half sizes. Nevertheless Sports Direct a few doors down is a direct competitor with their budget Karrimoor hiking shoes. For me I went for Mountain Warehouse's traditional materials and conservative 'classic' design. The shop manager had a great positive attitude and I'm well pleased with the shoes thus far. Tiso have a considerably broader range with some highest end offerings for those seeking flawless galoshes.”

“Wow, huge store with lots of equipment. But what is more important, great employees! The level of service, helpfulness and knowledge about the gear was blasting me away.Especially the store manager Pete helped me to solve a real problem I was facing. Other shops before just shrugged my question off and didn't try to solve my challenge. Pete went out with me to my motorhome, checked out the situation and found the right solution.Thank you Pete, your passion and drive is much appreciated!”
