Voordat je hotel binnen bent, moet je eerst 21 treden naar boven. Daarna is er een lift beschikbaar naar de kamers.Smal bad, waarin je doucht en met je voeten dicht bij elkaar moet staan én op het doucheputje (die verroest is). Niet comfortabel. Badmeubel te hoog. Oorwattenstaafjes en oordoppen lagen onder bed.Wij hadden prachtig uitzicht (voorkant)

Really happy with the room, the beds were better than my own bed at home! Really clean, housekeeping was really friendly. Location is really greatRooms: Room was really tidy, bed was perfect. No idea how they could improveNearby activities: It's close to the tram, close to the bus and close to High Street. So basically, whatever you want to visit in Edinburgh, Old Waverly is greatWalkability: Well... as a person from the Netherlands, the closes and wynds, as well as High Street and all surrounding streets, were challenging for my legs. Fortunately everything is built in a small area, so we walked most of the days, from Holyrood to the Esplanade and everything in between

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The location is superb, especially when you have a view of the Cathedral and the Edinburgh University. It?s a short walk to the castle. The bus to the airport stops around the corner.The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. I found the bed to be very comfortable.Rooms: The rooms are updated and comfortable.Safety: There are double doors leading to the upstairs. I would this place feels safe, especially since there are many people working here.Walkability: This hotel is right in the middle of everything that I needed. The castle is a short walk from here. The bus stop to the airport is around the corner. There are plenty of restaurants, parks, museums and galleries - all within walking distance.

The location is perfect for everything especially for transportation. The room is old but spacious and you will really feel the Edinburgh ambiance. The Bathtub is quite dangerous as there is no handle to grab when getting out. Above all, i enjoyed my stay in the Old waverly hotel!

First Visit to Edingburgh myself and 2 sisters.Hotel location was spot on right opps train station .Hotel room was clean ,tidy but for 3 ladies all in one room we had small wardrobe hardly any storage space.One bed was over other side of room so you felt left out window view well there wasn't one.Bathroom was fine Breakfast was enjoyable lovely room with view from each window.Staff were pleasant .Only let down was storage space and view from window wasnt very good.

Great experience from start to finish.. lovely big bedroom with good facilities and the bed was very comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping, but slept well on both nights..Staff, from room steward, breakfast staff, reception and Management all very good..Very good value for money which included breakfast..After our stay, had email from Manager offering 10% off next visit which we're using next week as need to be closeby to Waverley Station ..Thanks again and keep up high standards..?

It is distinguished by its distinguished location and its view of the most prominent landmarks of the city. It is close to the train station and services in general and the most prominent tourist attractions. The hotel has an old classic character. The corridors are narrow. We faced a problem in refunding the deposit of 25 pounds sterling, and the floor of the room was made of concrete, making annoying noises.
