Terrible service and incredibly rude staff. The employee that was looking after us just disappeared at some point without telling us a word and we later saw him walk out of the building as his shift ended. He seemed frustrated when we asked to try a couple more shoes. We were left there unsure of what is happening with our shoes enquiries as he had lost one of the shoes that we wanted to purchase. After quite a long time, we approached another employee, who was quite rude and dismissive, asking us to bring the shoes we wanted to try to him, as he couldn't be bothered to attend to his customers. We felt like we were penalised for trying out shoes. If I wanted to just buy the first shoe that I liked I would have ordered them online. I will not be shopping from JD Hanover Street again.

Strange concept - it's a rather tiny store with a totally different selection of shoes than the JD Sports store at St James Quarter. At the store here, I couldn't see any Hoka sneakers at all - but they had some NB shoes I didn't see at St James Quarter. It would be really nice if JD Sports was able to provide the full range in one location!

I went looking for a football jersey for my brother in Canada and I had looked online and the jerseys were priced around £40 and up. When I arrived in store there were two sales guys just chatting away never greeted or asked if I needed help and after waiting 10 minutes or so to see if they would even offer help I asked for particular team. I was told they didn?t have it and all their jerseys were priced £80 and up,

I visited this store to buy a pair of shoes. After finding a style we liked, we asked for a size 10, but the staff said only size 11 was available. We agreed to take the 11 and waited 20?30 minutes, only to be given a single left shoe.
We obviously asked for the right shoe too, but after another 15?20 minutes, we were told it couldn?t be found. We then asked for the same shoe in a different colour, but the manager refused, without much explanation or empathy.
The staff genuinely tried their best, but the store is clearly understaffed and disorganised. The manager?s attitude was disappointing?no effort to offer alternatives or even a polite apology.
We passed several stores to get here and ended up wasting over an hour for nothing. Not the experience we expected. A little courtesy and better management could?ve made all the difference.

We came to buy a pair of shoes
We liked one
We asked for 10 sizes, the staff says they don't have he says he got 11 size
We were happy to take and adjust with 11
The staff bought 1 single left shoe after 20-30 minutes
We asked for other shoe right side one, obviously can't buy one
So after 15-20 minutes the staff says can't find other shoe
We asked to give a different colour in same brand same model and the manager said no
This is in princess street edinburgh common guys we have crossed so many shops to reach your shop
They are under staff
No time
Staff did their best
Manager should have offered another colour atleast, if not a gentle no
I don't know what to say just spent 1 hour for nothing
Letting you know its going to be busy

I placed an order in last April, I haven't received any updates about it and when called JD service today they said it was delivered in April to the shop. More than 2 months and no one of staff sent a collection notice and sent item back.
What a SERVICE.

Cheaper prices during the end of year sale
Branch is pretty small with less selection comparing to the sister shop in the mall near by

Called in today to buys some trainers for my son. The shop was totally rammed but Harry was really kind, patient and helpful even though the shop felt understaffed for such a busy sales day. We managed to find a pair and left happy.
The managers are lucky to have such a lovely friendly and helpful member of staff.

I recently went to this store to exchange a pair of shoes I had bought earlier because they were not the right fit. The manager (David) was extremely helpful. He noticed the shoe was faulty and exchanged them right away. I was taking sometime to try other shoes, he was patient with me, I appreciate his help.

The blond guy at cashier was rude and didn?t help with my request. I?m not sure if I was treated differently because I?m Asian. But I definitely won?t recommend shopping here.

I visited the store this morning and noticed that the staff member near the door did not appear to be welcoming. He stared at me in a manner that made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I attempted to disregard his behavior and proceeded to look at the shoes. I then observed that the cashier at the till also displayed a similar attitude. It seemed as though they were not interested in being there and were perhaps working against their will. I did not appreciate the overall atmosphere and decided to leave the store without making any purchases.
