Great location but the area is very busy with foot and vehicle traffic. Rooms are smallish despite it being the deluxe double. The Nespresso in the room gave me the best cup of coffee I've had in weeks as well as the coffee machine at breakfast. ? The bathroom is moist and the door is breaking down from the moisture. It's like being in a caravan/camper bathroom. The mattress is a bit hard and uncomfortable but that's a personal preference. Parking is off site so you unload and then drive to the car park. The staff is very nice. Breakfast is very extensive. Eggs, bacon, sausage, Haggis, beans, yogurt, fruit, cereal, toast, crossiant, coffee, juice and tea. I'm not sure if I would stay here again.Walkability: In the middle of old town

Amazing location for staying in the old town. Incredibly friendly staff. Comfortable beds and very quiet at night. Only complaint is room was cold and lack of sockets near the bed. They provided a extension lead but socket placement didn't make it any more useful. A little fridge would have been nice too but not the end of the world. Would definitely stay Again

The room smelled so badly of cover up sprays and chemicals we had to change rooms. The front desk staff even came up to check and said that is was unacceptable.The beds are so narrow your knees will hang over the edge if you sleep on your side. I almost fell off rolling over.Well located and a clean bar. Though I sat there for 45 min and never got service, so I left.

Ibis is a solid and trusted brand. You know what you will get. Hotel is clean and looks renewed. Silent despite being in a lower floor facing the street. Breakfest around 13 pounds. Superb location, walking distance to the best in the city. Staff looked a little bored and kind of rude but again, its Ibis.

The room was large and had plenty of room for everything. The view was excellent with a large window. The bed was a bit of an issue. It was merely a futon with a mattress pad. It was very uncomfortable. I wasn't a fan of the bathroom pod, but it was completely functional. My main gripe was the uncomfortable bed. Otherwise, the staff were friendly, and the accommodations were great & quiet. It was a great value in a fantastic location. Would stay here again.

One thing is clear, the location is phenomenal.But besides that our experience wasn?t great. Our window wouldn?t open, the flush of the toilet didn?t quite work and the shower was not great, it didn?t seal properly.It?s an all right hotel, but the location is the real selling point.

Because the heating in the room was not warm enough and the moisture in the toilet could not be discharged, the whole toilet was wet.The location is very convenient, but strictly speaking, the quality of British IBIS is much lower than that of European IBIS.If I go to the UK in the future, I probably won?t choose the IBIS series to live in.

The reason for giving this a 1 star is that the hotel is right next to a night club. Neither my husband or I had a good night sleep, noise didn?t calm down till 3.30am.We had to cut our trip short as we were both exhausted as little to no sleep. So really this was a waste of money.Rooms: Room good size.Sound proofing is really appalling.No hand towels.Nearby activities: Night Clubs till early in the morning.Royal Mile.Walkability: Was near the Royal Mile so easy to get to sights. However unless you are young and don?t need any sleep and want to go night clubbing then you?ll do okay.Noteworthy details: Don?t other complaining to staff, they?re not interested.

Ideal location. Waking distance to everything. Right next to the hotel there is a grocery store Sainsbury's where you can get a variety of fresh pantries in the morning and grab a coffee at the Costa next door. Across the hotel there a delicious pie maker shop wirh the most amazing savory pies.

The room was a bit cold. The staff is nice. The location is perfect, close to the Royal Mile.
