The hotel's location is excellent and strategic, right in the historic center. Easy to get to if you are using public transport, starting point for the most popular tourist attractions, close to pubs, restaurants, shops. My room faced the interior of the hotel, which helped a lot when sleeping, it was very quiet. Good bed and sheets, basic breakfast but with all the necessities. I really liked it and highly recommend it.

Staff were lovely at all times. And the location is just off the Royal Mile so great for all the touristy things and restaurants are not to far away either.Walkability: 10 mins from Waverley station and buses just around the corner. Practically on Royal mile so you can walk straight out into the heart of Edinburgh

Stayed two nights. Greeted by staff immediately. Very helpful and nice. Gave us the parking pass which saved us £24. The breakfast buffet was nice. The location is perfect.Walkability: Everything you need is within a 5 minute walk. Castle is right up the road.Food & drinks: Great pubs and restaurants all nearby. Bubba Q?s was my favourite.

Stayed here for 2 nights this march. The hotel is in a fantastic location, a stroll to the castle. The room was great, and breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

Location location and location! it is just less half block from Royal Mile.. very convenient. The room was clean, bed comfy had all amenities of a modern hotel, usb chargers by the bed! I did not have to use my adapter for the electricity. The hotel has a full bar, breakfast buffet. Hotel has ACThe staff super friendly and helpful. I had a pleasant stay.Definitely recommend it!

Hotel well located to do everything on foot, large and clean room, can be a little noisy in the evening/night because of the nearby bar, but that didn't bother us.

Rooms: small but well equipped. Lacks a little hook or shelf storage.Food & drinks: varied and well-stocked breakfast, regularly stocked.

Friendly front of house staff, a warm welcome, great breakfast served until 10.30am. No problem leaving ones' baggage for safe keeping before check-in or after check-out. Pleasant public lounge & bar area. Rooms are cosy but well-equipped and warm. Could do with a bit more detailed info on how to access the various AV and internet facilities through the TV and a ventilation fan and toilet brush would be helpful additional facilities in the bathroom. Would certainly choose to stay here again.Rooms: Clean, cozy but well equipped for a short break.Nearby activities: Lots of bars, restuarant & tourist haunts within 10 minutes walkSafety: Situated in a safe area just off High Street in the Old TownWalkability: Less than 10 minutes walk down to Princes Street

The rooms are of a good standard and equipped with a bathroom and an electric kettle with coffee and tea. The windows are not tight, you can hear noises from outside.The service was quite nice at the reception, but not at breakfast.Food & drinks: Not much choice of food at breakfast. The quality of the food could have been a little better, but overall it was ok. You can eat quite a bit.
