Excellent and attentive service. Fun and complete menu, served in a timely fashion. Followed the recommendation of the guide at Rosslyn Chapel. The Beef Cheeks are amazingly tender and delicious!

lt's come and go! The ?Haggis? is a 5 out of 10. We ordered ?rib eye? and ?fillet steak? and it was terrible. We actually visited them because of a ?TikTok? comment and it was not what we expected.

A very beautiful and delicious Scottish restaurant. We also have whiskey flights and haggis on the menu, so if you take customers visiting Edinburgh, they will be satisfied.

One of the few places that serve Scottish traditional food. The food is decent but portions are small and overpriced. Beef cheeks were nicely done but lacked flavor. The staff is nice. May come back.

The food was nice though the menu was a but limited. The restaurant was extremely noisy and we felt the service was quite rushed.

My husband and I went here for Valentines Day Dinner while on a trip to Edinburgh. Located in Victoria street, we walked right into the beautiful looking restaurant and were met with such a warm team and amazing food and drinks. We tried their special cocktails and casserole of the day. The drinks were amazing and casserole was very warm and homely. The meat was cooked a little too medium to my liking but that could just be a personal preference. The highlight of this day was definitely the sticky toffee pudding. We ordered one to share and having taken the first bite, we both knew that we?d each want a plate of our own so ended up getting another plate of it immediately. I?m definitely a savoury over sweet person on most days, but this pudding had me.This was such a beautiful dinner and best way to end our trip to Edinburgh. Cannot visit to go back soon

First time in Scotland, had to try haggis from more than 1 restaurant. I've got to say, the haggis at Howie's feels more premium than the one at Arcade and the flavour is less overpowering allowing the taste if meat to come through. The banoffee pie was delicious! Super creamy and it wasn't too sweet. The terrine didn't leave too much of an impression and the beetroot was a refreshing starter. The service was very prompt and the food came really quickly. The atmosphere however was too lively (loud) and the space was quite cramped. Would be better if they spaced the tables out more but business is business.

We loved Howie's! Nice ambience. Our waitress was very nice and super helpful with recommendations. Being Americans, I had to try the haggis and my husband had been refusing, tried it and ate all of it in addition to his dinner. Our flight of whisky was lovely and we enjoyed all the flavors. My husband had the salmon and it was good but preferred the haggis I tried a white fish that I felt was fishy but I'm not a big fish person. They had a nice variety of mixed drinks also. Overall we had an amazing experience and really enjoyed our dinner!

Fantastic venue located in the famous Victoria Street. Staff attentive to service and courteous in explaining the menu course by course and top quality raw materials. Nice atmosphere with soft lighting for an intimate dinner, fair and equitable prices considering other places in Edinburgh, recommended!
