“We stayed here for 4 nights for our stay in Edinburgh. It could not have been a nicer experience! The hotel has excellent facilities in a renovated set of older buildings. Our room was extremely comfortable. However, the true mark of excellence was the extraordinarily nice and helpful staff!! From reception to the wait staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent as you can walk to almost all Edinburgh sights (including the Royal Mile) while staying a wee bit off the crowded center so that it was a peaceful location.”

“Staff are fantastic, rooms clean, breakfast was amazing. Location is ideal for the tram stop and close to old town, everything you need is in walking distance. Would definitely come back again (this is already my second time here). Highly recommend!”

“Excellent stay. Staff team very helpful, friendly and professional. Room was spotless and very comfy. Breakfast was great, it was a clean and well-managed room. Piping hot food, with everything available. The location of this hotel is great, handy for all transport links and starting on the Royal Mile. We'll definitely stay here next time we're in Edinburgh!”

“Brilliant service from the staff here. Easy parking, a quick drive to the city centre, clean and well kept, lots of restaurants in the area and good value for money. A shining example of the Premier Inn model!”

“I stayed at Apex Waterloo Place for my first trip to Edinburgh, and highly recommend this hotel for it's excellent location, literally next to Calton Hill. As others noted, it's across the street from hop-on/hop-off buses; 3 minutes from Waverly train station; 5-6 minutes from Airport Bus, tram stop, and Bus station (for day trips, etc). There's a shopping mall around the corner, and several cafes/Starbucks/food options close by. Royal Mile/Old Town is a 10 minute walk across the bridge. Room was very nice, with tea kettle set up. There are a couple of issues: the mini-fridge barely cools, and the A/C does seem a bit unreliable - there must be a central program that cuts it off after a certain period of time, so I woke up very hot. But overall, staff was very nice and the location just really worked for me!”

“This Premier Inn is perfectly placed if you want to explore Edinburgh City. It's a 10 minute train ride into the centre. It is clean, modern and the beds are very comfortable. There are lots of parking spaces and it's easy to drive too and just minutes from the motorway.”

“Booked this hotel initially on the room price compared to city centre hotels. Still high in my opinion but thats sadly the times we now live in. However upon my arrival i was very pleased to find many parking spaces which was a relief. We were then greeted at reception by a very friendly and caring young man who gave us good information regarding all amenities, and also went into the bar to serve us drinks. We booked a twin room which was very clean and tidy. Bathroom was spotless and plenty of clean towels. Couldnt fault anything. Location is ideal and away from the busy centre, just a 5 min bus ride into town, or a 20minute walk. Overall we would definitely stay here again when visiting my son at uni.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Apex. We are traveling with a group and all arrangements have been completed for us. It is located ideally near the old Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile. The rooms are clean and well organized. There are many plugins for all the electronics that need changing every night. Breakfast was hot, plentiful with an attentive wait staff. My only concern was the bathroom. Very small, sink was at my knees! Tub/shower was difficult to get in and out.Nearby activities: Edinburgh castle, Royal MileWalkability: Very close to all the sights and shopping”

“A Good trading platform service I can truly trust. They are transparent on all transactions and explain everything clearly. I never had fear and I am confident in trading with them. They have given me so many great opportunities to earn better profits. I am glad to have traded with the right broker. I gain good profit and received my withdrawals earlier than the expected date. Good brokerage platform. I'm happy to work with Mrs Emily Morgan. this probably was the best choice of my life. Contact her via WhatsApp +contact: +1 (234)224-9457. Email: [email protected]

“Vegan breakfast options are awful - great idea but poor quality. And ordering was difficult as staff seem very busy and had to order twice as first order not given to kitchen. Check out reception was rude and unprofessional. Literally took our keys and walked away - left us standing there not sure what to do.”

“Stayed here as part of a corporate trip. The location is great. Everything is clean and new.Knocked down a star on rooms because the bathrooms are a terrible design. Glass doors, no privacy, no sound blockage, and the sinks leak. If you turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night, the whole room lights up!The sink leak is not from the plumbing, it’s from around the bowl. Maintenance came to look and commented on the design flaw for the whole hotel. The lighting switches in the room are a convoluted mess. It’s like the person that approved the design, never spent a night in the hotel.Staff was friendly and helped out with any and all requests.”

“Great hotel in an ideal location for exploring Edinburgh. Two ladies who served breakfast in the morning (Pauline and Jean, I think) were outstanding, excellent service, welcoming and good fun. Will definetley return.”

“Well designed hotel, nice people at reception, some speak spanish. I had an annoyance with TV set by night. Maintenance could not solve it, but clever Ricky give me a tip to stop the problem. Adrian was very helpful at breakfast. Location is really great.”

“This was a great find! Lovely big rooms and were spotless, and a tray full of tea, coffee & biscuits!! Staff were very friendly and gave excellent service! It's ideal for the buses going into the city centre. On the whole had a great night's sleep very quiet! Would recommend to anyone. The food was great as well.”

“Great location. Room was well set out and the bedding and towels were good quality. The grouting in the shower was mouldy and black, which other reviews have stated too. This is a shame and why I gave a 3 star room rating. The communal lounge and dining area is super and staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is brilliant value at £5 per person and there are takeaway cups available for hot beverages, which is a good idea. I noted that the food and drinks menu was very reasonably priced. We stayed in room.225 which was very quiet and peaceful being at the back of the hotel.I happily stay at the hotel again, when the grouting issues in the showers have been resolved.Walkability: Fabulous central location, we were only minutes away from many points of interest to us.Food & drinks: The menu is simple but well considered and competitively priced.”

“This hotel is 2 minutes walk away from the royal mile and about a 10 minute walk away from Waverley station. It’s in the area where the university and campus is but it’s a great area. Our room was lovely and clean. It was near a busy road but we weren’t disturbed by it. We had pizza and chips from the kitchen on the first night in our room and it was very tasty. We had breakfast on 1st morning out if 2. It was the normal pick your own out of warming trays. It was ok. We went out for breakfast on the second day! The bathroom was good but did smell a bit of urine! The shower was great. Hot and powerful. The staff were brilliant. Very friendly. We would definitely recommend it.”

“This hotel was amazing and I would recommend to anyone and would go to again if and/or when returning to Edinburgh. It was within walking distance to EVERYTHING. In the hub of everything. Close to late night food restaurants, convenient store, and other items open late (which not everything is). Breakfast was spectacular (so pay the extra to have it included), spacious rooms, friendly staff. AND it didn't cost an arm and a leg like most places in the same area.”

“We have difficulty with stairs, and we were placed in the corridor with steps in the middle. I will use the hotel again now I know about the accessible rooms. I wasn't keen on food from the beefeater on site, for breakfast or ”

“We visited the Innkeeper's Toby Carvery Edinburgh West for a second time (previously visited a year ago). We love Innkeeper's Toby Carvery Edinburgh West - the hospitality, the rooms, the food. The staff was very friendly, exactly as we remembered it last year. The food was amazing, again as we remembered it last year. If we visit Edinburgh again, Innkeeper's Toby Carvery Edinburgh West will be our definite choice as the place to stay. Thank you!Rooms: Very clean and conformable.Safety: Family-friendly place to stay and dine.Food & drinks: Very delirious local food.”

“A busy hotel is is a great location, beds very comfy, couldn’t fault the breakfast so much choice. Staff all very cheerful and helpful, especially Kym who made us feel so welcome. we felt like we’d known her for years, not 3 days! Go buy that Yoshi bag!”

“I have stayed here many times because of the convenient situation of this hotel. Breakfast and evening meals are provided and are reasonably priced. Rooms can be hit and miss, some are well appointed and have city views, last time I had a turret room and the wind was so ferocious I thought the roof was going to blow off. Staff can be helpful at times at other times some can be slightly offhand. There is no lift and many stairs to the rooms so be aware when booking if you have mobility issues.”

“If you are looking for a cheap but wonderful stay this is the hotel it’s situated right next to the airport so easy to grab a cab it cost us £20 for a 7 seater the staff are wonderful and very helpful, the only thing I would say that is a not so great experience is that the wait time on an evening for a meal was a bit longer than we had expected but it was very busy so can’t be helped breakfast was help yourself and was more than enough to make up for the evening meals”

“The hotel was nice and clean, the room was perfectly sized and at the reception the guys were super friendly, we arrived at 2 am and they were waiting for us and did not delayed with any check in stuff. The only observation is that they charge for more than 30 min wifi, really weird in 2023.”

“Date of travel: January 2022 I do miss this hotel, it's been just so great! Yes of course it was outdated and a bit strange with its maze-like corridors, but the breakfast was significantly better than what much better-rated posh hotels do. It's also extremely well located, just 3 minutes walk from Haymarket train+tram station and at least 20 bus lines. And on the top of all these, it's been very-very cheap! This hotel was like an old lady who's lost her fame, but is still shining. I am looking forward to see what the new building will be like.”

“From the minute we arrived to when we left we felt valued .check in was super friendly . Our room , 221 , was awesome , very clean with fab views over the water of Leith . We were staying as part of our 50th wedding anniversary celebrations....we were presented with a signed card by staff and drinks and cocktails vouchers , a cute message written on the mirror. The manager , Chris Lynch, met us for a blether in the bar .....the best manager we've encountered and could certainly teach many others how to treat customers . Each member of staff was friendly and had fab interpersonal qualities in addition to superb customer service skills . Room service supper was perfect and breakfast was awesome ....the freshly cooked ingredients served on hot plates , the continental selection great too ...and the teamwork of the young staff a credit to their trai ingredients... smiling staff happy to chat Super well done team Mal Also the best and quietest nights sleep in a hotel for a long long time ...no earplugs needed Thank you Chris and Team Mal ....5 ?”
