“Great couple of days at Novotel Edinburgh Park. The exceptionally pleasant staff went out of their way to really make the stay welcoming. A1 recommended ?The stay was spot on as always with the added bonus of the leisure suite now being fully open. Food was great and as always the staff were not just personable but friendly and welcoming. Definitely my go to hotel which feels like home from home. Lastly going over and above is often mentioned, but this was exceptional as I left my laptop at the hotel, and would have missed my flight had I had to go back, however the hotel staff (Richard) personally and urgently brought my laptop and met me at the airport, without which i would have missed my flight. This is exceptional customer service. Thank you !!”

“The hotel's location is excellent and strategic, right in the historic center. Easy to get to if you are using public transport, starting point for the most popular tourist attractions, close to pubs, restaurants, shops. My room faced the interior of the hotel, which helped a lot when sleeping, it was very quiet. Good bed and sheets, basic breakfast but with all the necessities. I really liked it and highly recommend it.”

“Everything was great! It was very good for a short stay. Just a shame we didn't have a view of the castle...The location was perfect (everything is within walking distance) and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast at the restaurant was worth it!”

“Food & drinks: Nous nous sommes présentés pour déjeuner à six sans réservation le dimanche midi de la fête des mères. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par un personnel jeune et très aimable qui a tout fait pour nous trouver une table. Le repas a été parfait, du cocktail au dessert et l'équipe aux petits soins. De surcroît chaque femme a reçu un petit présent à l'occasion de la fête des mères. Je recommande vivement.”

“A beautiful hotel with lots of history. Rooms are modern, comfortable and a great size. Breakfast recommended as its top quality. Spa is good for a city centre hotel, it has a modern feel and a decent size pool. Definitely worth coming to stay as location is great too.”

“Stayed here during the fringe festival. The location is great as there are plenty of buses that stop right outside and it’s not far from the city centre. The room had everything we needed and was clean and tidy on arrival. The pub downstairs was great, enjoyed a full Scottish breakfast the next morning. This was great value considering the price of hotels during the month of August in Edinburgh. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Me and my partner had a lovely stay, the room was spacious, clean and we couldn’t have asked for better. The bar downstairs was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very helpful too! Added bonus it’s a 5 minute walk from everything! I would recommend anyone stay here and I would love to come back.”

“Love the premier inn. Please read about the food as I can't give a star rating for food.Food & drinks: Love the premier inn but you shouldn't have messed with the food menu I will not eat here the food is not great. Please let the pubs go back to there old menus when the food was edible now it's over cooked over fried and tasteless.”

“We booked last minute as our other accommodation fell through. It was pricey which I'm sure was a result of not being able to reserve in advance. The location was perfect! The hotel was very clean. Everything was within walking distance, would stay here again”

“The service was great from the front desk staff to housekeeping to the restaurant and bar staff. We had lots of nice interactions with the hostesses in the morning seating us and with Josh helping us a few times at the same place for dinner service. The breakfast buffet was nicely varied and of good quality for the most part. The dinners and cocktails were good as well. The rooms and bathrooms are small, but that is par for the course in the uk. The beds were a bit firm but had a mattress topper which made it more comfy. They provide waters and cookies and lots of tea and coffee in the room. Be sure to use the staircase alley behind the lobby for quick access to the Royal Mile. I didn't discover this until the 3rd day!”

“Attended the Sheraton for a works function. Lovely building in a great central location. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Didn’t stay overnight, but food through out the days were of a high quality and plentiful.”

“Typical premier inn room. Clean and comfy. We had breakfast only one morning, queued for 20 minutes to have a table, all the food needed replenishing from the continental to the cooked food so the waits were very very long! Felt sorry for the staff as they were manning breakfast AND the front desk and there were only 2 of them. People getting annoyed waiting at the front desk, people getting annoyed as they've paid for breakfast and there's no food out. It was totally unfair and disappointing to see Premier Inn not ensure there were staff to cover both areas separately. Despite being run off their feet and having to deal with many irate people, the staff were professional and kept a smile on their face!”

“Stayed here 2 nights on a recent visit. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Water filling stations on each floor is a nice touch. Breakfast in the morning had hot fresh food and juices as well as the ability to order from The menu. Bar area large for an evening drink. There is a small gym, and pool for use as well. Located right by Grassmarket it's very easy to walk to pubs, restaurants and Victoria Street.”

“Stayed here for one night in a SuperRoom. It was my first time staying in a Travelodge and I didn't have particularly high expectations. I'm glad to say that I overall enjoyed my short stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was clean and spacious, although incredibly basic. The bed, although a bit firm was still comfortable. The shower was fantastic, I know that SuperRooms have upgraded showers and no joke, it was great. The Wi-Fi, although it wasn't free was very fast which I appreciated. There was some noise both inside and outside of the hotel during the night, but it was to be expected. Breakfast was decent, maybe I would've enjoyed it more if it wasn't so overpriced. The best thing about this hotel though aside from the great room rates is the location which is right in the heart of the city centre and only a 5-10 minute walk away from Waverley Station which was incredibly useful for me. So all things considered, this is a great budget hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes, but I most certainly wouldn't stay here for more than a couple of nights. At the end of the day, it does the job and is a pretty good hotel overall.”

“Beautiful rooms! Very reasonably priced. Great decor. Very clean.Plenty of teas and coffees.Fridge with water.Great location!Loads of space. It's more like a suite so separate rooms.Few issues - too hot! Need to he able to turn the heating off. Although fans are provided.TV - difficult to figure out. I couldn't use Netflix as I needed a pin. Possible could of been sorted with a call or message.Room 7. Mirrors but no sockets near by. Bit of a pain for those who want to blow dry/straighten hair.Rooms: Clean, tidy, very modern.Nearby activities: 10 min walk from food, theatre, book shop etc”

“My new wife and I had the most amazing of wedding days here. Whilst looking for our perfect venue we made a visit to The Brunstfield which is pretty much on our doorstep. We were met by the wonderful Adam who showed us around, answered any questions we had and allowed us to visualise what our special day would fee like if we chose here. Instantly we knew this was the right place for us both, thanks to the incredible enthusiasm knowledge and experience displayed by him. We have to say thanks to the wonderful Imogen, the front of house manager who was always an email away throughout the process, dealing with the admin side and answering any questions we had thoroughly and being incredibly helpful throughout what can be a stressful process at times. Fast forward to the wedding day and we had Adam as our co-ordinator on the day. How glad we were to have him keeping us right, having everything ticking along and making sure the whole day run as smooth as he could. He's an absolute credit to the hotel and business. Nothing was too much for him and we wouldn't have wished for anyone else to assist us. Adam and every member of staff was friendly, helpful and nothing was too much for them throughout. Food was amazing and our guests were nothing but complimentary on what was served along the quality. The evening buffet we chose the BBQ option which was equally to a high standard and enjoyed by our guests. All of the our guests were full of praise regarding the venue, the accommodation and members of staff they encountered. The only slight negative feedback we had which we have shared already was the speed of service in the main bar during the flipping of the function room etc, but it was a minor thing that didn't detract from the amazing wedding day we had. Thanks to everyone we truly had the most memorable of wedding days, better than we dreamt it would be and cannot recommend this venue highly enough!”

“More affordable than other hotels in the centre of Edinburgh and direct transport or cheap Ubers. Convenient and quiet room with great blackout curtains and lots of well lit mirrors. Lovely friendly receptionist who welcomed us at our late night check in. Room was let down by lazy cleaners - empty shampoo dispenser in shower and dust/dirt had collected. Lots of food for breakfast and well cooked. Unfortunately no gluten free toast or cereal available and we had a long wait to be seated. Quiet and pretty restaurant space. Would come again.

Nearby activities: Uber to beach, centre and Arthur’s seat. Very convenient location for price.”

“Lovely hotel in a great location, public transport is very handy here. We could see the Edinburgh castle from our room. The room and the bathroom was lovely. I live the classic style of this accommodation. The staff are very friendly. There is a bar here too. The breakfast was very nice.”

“Great location between multiple tourist hotspot. Based on the price for the room it's quite a value, only complain is that there would be nice with somewhere to hang the towels and not just up above the shower frame.”

“Cheerful, clean, convenient - very close to Waverley Station and buses. If you can get at cheaper rates, very good value. Needs a wee bit more appreciation of accessibility e.g would help to have rails by shower and toilet. Staff helpful. Lots of shops and restaurants within short and reasonable distances.Walkability: Within short walking distance of shops, restaurants, buses and trains. Lifts to all floors.”
