The hot chocolates and shakes have a nice pure chocolate flavour and if your a fan of lesser sweetness these drinks will appeal to you.

I am in love with the Hotel Chocolate in Glasgow, on Buchanan Street. It is my place of power. I drink a lot of coffee there and eat a lot of cakes and ice cream. The staff already recognise me)))
But I'll never go to their Edinburgh location near Scott Monument again. It's very cold, drafty, cramped, uncomfortable... The tables are covered with something similar to metal, like in a cheap diner. And the room itself is long and narrow, like a corridor. I am very disappointed

Got a chance to taste their velvetised milkshake - I had the 75% chocolate milkshake. I did ask for the cocoa whip but no luck the whipping machine was out or something. Anyway the shake was good enough with rich chocolatey flavour. Prices are alright and if you have a VIP card like me, its further cheap.
The cafe is really small with less than 10 or 12 seatings yet its cute and well managed.
Will definitely go back again for their mango-raspberry sundae?
NB : also, another plus point to keep in mind is to take their loyalty card aka Hotel Chocolat VIP membership card, which is totally free of cost and gives you discount on almost everything the shop offers. That is an amazing deal, so go get yourself one !

Hotel chocolat tasting session was great at Frederick Street but at the end we were told there would be a 10% discount included in the price but didn't get it we were served by Katie.

A very cozy place. Earthy smell and beautiful interior. It's nice to buy from all kinds of strollers here. There are many varieties.Chocolate 85% on 100%. Nice packaging, great for a gift.

I love this chocolate shop. I came here with my mum on Mother's Day and had an excellent salted caramel hot chocolate. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to my mother, who has a disability.
