Very disappointed with this practice. Had bloods taken in April 23 then did not receive results until end of June 23. Phoned me to alert me to the fact blood results needed my attention. 2 months wasted when I could have addressed it. Requested blood results in writing 3 weeks ago and was told by a receptionist I would have to write a letter requesting this. Did so and handed it in to then be told a week later they were no longer accepting written letters and I was given wrong info ???? Was then handed the correct form to complete and hand in again. Waited a week and phoned in to be told they are allowed 21 days to come back to you. Never see same doctor as it?s always a locum doctor. Phone appointment system is diabolical as you can be held waiting for ages to then never get an appointment. This practice is a joke and needs a thorough shake up by whoever manages it!

Absolutely shocking trying to get an appt with a Dr, over 200times I called between 8am and 8.45am, busy line or can't complete the call after selecting 1 to speak to the practise, then when eventually manage to get through to reception all appts for the day are gone, severe pain and limited mobility due to three herniated discs in my spine doesn't count as an emergency, then when you eventually manage to get put on the duty Dr call back list, the one time my phone wasnt in my hand was getting my kids out of the car and into my house (struggling to do so with the excruciating back pain) and you call back straight away to explain why you just missed the call to be told you'll have to call out of hours and that no doctors are working anymore at 5.20pm.

Very disappointed with how the surgery is being run at the minute. I?ve called 51 times since 8am then finally managed to get through to be told there are no appointments and to try again tomorrow.

7 days for a precription to go from this go to pharmacy which is 300 yards away.Its conctantly a temp gp service and appointments are impossible to get

Got through to the receptionist at 8:30 told her I had breathing problems and had a heart attack in February,told no appointments and told you go to the hospital since when does the receptionist give out medical advice this surgery has become a danger to the patients

I knew it was gonna be bad based on the reviews, but all practices were closed for registration so got randomly assigned to that one anyone. Don't think it's really usable at all, gotta start dialing their number at 8am to a repeated wall of Busy. It's 50-50 that you either get a Busy line at the intended time, or you when you select your option you get a "Sorry, your call cannot be completed at present, please try again later".Overall, it's a gamble calling at 8am, which you'll probably lose. On a good day it took 15 call attempts then waiting 9 minutes after which the person told me it's emergencies only and to call another day. One time I chain called for 40 minutes to no success. This is nigh unusable.Then only good thing is the competency of doctors after once you actually get through is good. Super friendly nurses too.Oh and you can get your prescriptions lost and generally the process is "some luck needed" as it's case by case basis.

Dr. Sobia Mirza was amazing! I have been coming to the practice for 8 years and he?s one of the best doctors I?ve ever had. Kind and professional, took the time to examine me thoroughly and resolved more than one of my symptoms within our 10 minute visit. Hope he gets a raise!

Can never get an appointment when you need one and the reception staff are unhelpful, I had been trying to get intouch with the surgery since it opened at 8 eventually got threw at 9 to be told no appointments and i had to phone at 8 for an on the day appointment, how are you ment to get an appointment when you can not get threw to the surgery?? Was on the phone for a hour to get told that it was very cheeky in my opinion. Terrible surgery terrible service.

Today I had an appointment with Dr Shahir Chaudhary. It was first time that I felt like I was heard by a GP. He was very informative and respectful during the appointment, I didn?t feel like he is rushing my appointment. Hats off to Dr Shahir for his excellent work and services.About my situation, I?ve been suffering from a chronic hand pain and a cervical disc protrusion for more than 2 years and I felt my case was a bit overlooked by NHS as it wasn?t shown during my physical examinations. 2 years ago, due to my pain and nhs workload, I had to get back to my country to see an specialists. I came back with all diagnosis and imaging, GPs were reluctant to even see my MRI results. I felt a bit heartbroken as I was in pain and my case was not dealt seriously. Again I went to a private specialist and a physiotherapist to speed up my recovery. After 2 years the pain hasn?t gone but at least I felt a GP heard me out, explained the problem and was there for me. I hope to see more doctors like him in NHS

It takes about 100-120 calls (average - starting with opening hours) to get through to book an appointment. It is annoying and mentally exhausting process but it?s possible (from my experience). Doctors, nurses, receptionists - always lovely and listening, but so understaffed? I feel for them.

Making an appointment is horrendous, dial the number at 8am on the dot as they tell whole of Edinburgh to do so, but have an answer machine that straight away tells you that it is not possible to connect your call, I always try again x100 still same then by 9am hmm they sometimes pick up and tell you to call next day as all booked for today silly cycle that goes on. Why take on more patients then you can handle one of the doctors should just leave as she is so moody has an issue coming near you to check heard this from a few others not just my family. Nurses are really lovely and other doctors too.

I have to agree with everyone else. The booking system is awful. I've tried several times to speak to a GP but it's impossible, I don't think they have enough GPs. The receptionists and nurses I've spoken to are lovely though, it's just a shame you can't speak to a doctor.I got private medical insurance through work which turned out much better for my needs. I can call them anytime and there's always someone who can help.

Hard to imagine, but it's just got even worse! From this week, potentially £8 per appointment...I've been registered here over 10 years, and it has always been terrible to make an appointment by phone (the only permitted way now of course). As others have said: Must call from 8am, repeatedly until you get through. In my experience I've nearly always had to call 20-40 times.This week they changed the phone system so that it'll always connect rather than being engaged, before the auto-switchboard says no-one is available and hangs up. So now, as well as being frustrated trying to get through I'm paying my phone connection charge and a minute's call for the privilege. For some people that could be 40*(10p+10p) = £8 per appointment.Note: I've found the nurses and current doctors to be excellent. No issues with them. They're being let down by the practice.
