“Played the open here today.I guessed the course would be hilly, and I wasn’t wrong!I enjoyed the course and the different challenges this “quirky” course presented!! Some blind holes that were difficult, but overall I really enjoyed the playing here. The greens were immaculate. Fast and true, I didn’t hole many putts, but the blame can only lie with me!!The lady in the pro shop was very helpful and chatty. A really nice welcome on arrival. After the golf I had food and drink in the clubhouse. I sat on the balcony overlooking the 18th Green. Food and staff were great.Lastly the views on this course are incredible. Well worth the climb to the high points. Not sure I could play this course every week, but I’ll definitely be back again soon.”

“What a gem this place is!Just a short distance from the city is this wonderful Golf Club that boasts a superb practice green with bunker on arrival, that has patio seating surrounding to soak up the atmosphere, enjoy a drink after a great day on the course or to watch golfers play into the magnificent 18th.On arrival we entered the clubhouse to check in with the professional who was more than welcoming and very friendly . We had some time to take in a breakfast sandwich and a coffee that we enjoyed on the clubhouse balcony as we watched the greenstaff preparing the fairways on 18. There was a vibe that this was going to be a great place to play. The Course- 1st hole was a photo opportunity as we were in awe of the backdrop which was made by the definition of the pristinely cut fairway and treeline. The hole was inviting us to enter what would be a superb course. The greens were magnificent and at a good challenging pace!. From here, it turned out that every hole was indeed a photograph moment. Bunkers were brilliant and passing members were great to see visitors (even gave advise on the hole!) The halfway house was set in a great area with ample seating and great backdrop. Plenty if refreshments to choose from and a welcoming greeting from the lady at the kiosk. After the round we enjoyed a drink in the clubhouse which was a grand place that was steeped in history, the locker rooms were also a great tidy and ample room. The bar area was cool and we sat and drank to reflect on a truly magnificent day ...well worth the visit if playing in Edinburgh..in fact Scotland!Well done to the whole team at Mortonhall! Hopefully I will be back soon, with my golf pals from home!”

“Pleasant golf club with 100 years of history in Edinburgh. Rosie of proshop has been very helpful in organizing my club hire. Very scenic holes towards the view to Arthur's seat. Unforgettable.”
“A fine Golf Club. Twice weekly medals on Braids Golf Course plus other club competitions. Good clubhouse with panoramic views of Edinburgh. New members sought / welcomed.”
“I would like to recommend Pete, Chris & Aren in the Pro Shop for a full fitting for golfclubs. These clubs have brought my game back as I was considering throwing in the towel”
