“Hi I recently purchased an amp, speakers and turntable from JM. I took my time over a few months and Teague was a pleasure to deal with, always replying to email and answering my many questions. I eventually arranged an appointment to listen to the system that had been recommended. Once again there was no hard sell and Teague patiently listened to my choices of vinyl. I’m very pleased with my HIFi and would thoroughly recommend James Morrow. Alister. ????”

“Sent off a water damaged Cayenne amp, that was producing no volume, for repair if possible (return postage charge only if repair is not possible). 8 days later it’s back in the car and all working as it should. Superb service at a good price. Highly recommended.”

“Richer Sounds as a business is one that I really like. They have phenomenal sales and clearances and (as far as I've seen) do not stock bad products that you may fall into the trap of buying. I used them years ago when I first assembled my home hifi speaker system. At the time, I didn't have the funds for a full 5.1 and so dropped the centre speaker.Yesterday I sent out a clearance inquiry on the website for a centre speaker as I want to make my system 5.1 instead of 4.1. The inquiry was answered by this store promptly today via email. I have had multiple emails from the store manager Hauke who was both very helpful and incredibly swift with replies - over the span of about 40 or so minutes the entire transaction was sorted and was overall very painless.I can't speak for the in-store experience for this particular richer sounds, but if the rest of the staff are as helpful as Hauke was then I imagine it can only be a good experience.-Reuben”

“In the mid 80s, I worked in HMV, it's not yhe same as that, as the price of vinyl has went thru the roof but as a music store, HMV in none to bad, you can get every thing here just at price.Varied selection.”

“Excellent, the pharmacist was brilliant, took the time to look at and advise on a lump on my elbow that I had just noticed and was very worried about, and couldn't get in to see a doctor about it all week. I had spoken to my local pharmacist, who completely freaked me out, enough to consider a&e. I sought a second opinion from the pharmacist at boots, and thank goodness I did. I am now happy to wait to try to see a gp after the weekend. Edinburgh boots????????????”

“Boots at Ocean Terminal is a great place. With lovely helpful staff. They always have a great range of products at reasonable prices. I phone up for them to get my tablets from my Doctor. They are so helpful and quick to get the prescription. Within a few days I get a txt saying they’re ready. Great store and staff. 5/5 ?”

“It's good. I did go to Wetherspoons with an acquaintance for couple of drinks. The place is typical Scottish pub but has a hint of new age added to it 2hich is mostly due to young staff that work there.”

“What a gem! This store is quite small and yet you just know that if you dig through the records, tapes, or CDs that you’ll find some gems. The owner, who has been at this for over 30 years, is memorialized in a painting at the National Galleries of Scotland. He’s very knowledgeable and helpful and is gregarious to boot. Visit this shop. It’s like a treasure hunt.”

“I've been volunteering for the BHF on Portobello High Street for a number of years now. It's a great place to work for all kinds of reasons! There's a great team of management and volunteers, so we all feel well looked after and appreciated. It's also fascinating to see how the shop runs, both on the shop floor and behind the scenes.I help stock the book shelves, and I just love being surrounded by such an interesting and diverse range of writing, from the latest bestsellers to collectibles from my childhood! And it's great getting to help customers choose their next read.All in all, I would really recommend volunteering here. It helped me get through a tough time in my life so I can honestly say that it has done my heart good!”

“I just popped into buy a nice pair of shoes and a lovely pair of cord like material jeans great value. I was sat in the corner trying on the shoes when two men walked in who were clearly there to steal and the way the manger dealt with them and kept her cool but stern voice was what really impressed me and as I walked out a young Asian lady said goodbye with a lovely smile and kinda made me feel embarrassed ? by these Scottish people's behaviour as she was clearly there to begin volunteering and would just like to apologise on these young people's behaviour. What's going in today's society they feel it acceptable to go steal from a charity shop the three lady's really impressed me on how they handled the situation. Thank you, 10 out 10 the customer service.”

“I am able to come in and find all kinds of trinkets and that, they usually have electrical technology but usually have films and games as well, like CDs i don't see much of them now a days, kinda a shame that media now adays is almost exclusively digital, almost like we own nothing and everything is rented "permanently" i mean it's really werid to think about the fact that if you buy a film online you technically don't own the film, it's in the server of some building you'll never see. Anyway yeah good shop”

“We recently visited this store for a last minute purchase! We’re from the Scottish Borders and accidentally arrived without a pram during our day trip, due to this we thought it would be beneficial to upgrade our daughter’s trike which she could use for our family day out. We fully expected to purchase a trike and leave building it ourselves in the car park. Ross the assistant couldn’t have been better! He stayed with us from start to finish, recommending which one and helping us to the till. To my disbelief Ross helped build our trike while interacting with our daughter! We really didn’t expect such great customer service as we’ve visited this store before and unfortunately didn’t have the same experience. Ross made our trip fun and one to remember! Shopping with a 1.5 year old can be challenging and he made us feel completely at ease, as first time parents who don’t shop in town often this meant a lot to us. Thank you and will definitely be back thanks to him!”

“Staff really helpful - would have given 5 stars, but there were a few 'after sales' issues. I wasn't given the PIN number for the second hand laptop I bought so had to dash back to shop at 4pm on a Sunday to get it before I flew to Madrid...god knows how I would have obtained the PIN once I had left the country because there is no direct telephone number or email for individual shops. I made it as they were pulling the shutters down - got the PIN.Also, the CEX Microsoft account in Windows should really have been deleted and the computer reset at the point of purchase for security.The actual laptop is fantastic, and bought for a very good price.”

“Standard mid size Halfords, therefore limited ranges. But they had equivalent of some items we were looking for, as well as the specific "must have" items. So we were happy with that.Setting it aside from other Halfords was the bearded guy at the back of the store on the parts desk. Wish I'd got his name. He was super helpful and knowledgeable. Also redirected other customers as he searched for the info we wanted, without impact to us. Made it look easy, kept smiling, saved us a whole lot of Google searching. Worth 5 stars just for him.”
