It is a horrific box with no temp control - you can get a better room for £10 more. They play off the location. There?s only one member of staff in the whole place. There?s about 8 inches between the wall and the bed and the duvet is about 2 cm thick. I literally asked the reception for a duvet and they came to my room and told me it was the duvet. It could only be described as a sheet in my mind. In comparison to other options, I?d amount that this is a con a sham and a total waste of time. It robbed me of a better use of a night. Fine if you just want a bed to pass out on but nothing more may as well stay in a hostel bunk bedRooms: It is a horrific box with no temp control - you can get a better room for £10 more. The location is pretty good. Room space is very small, the heater is not working efficiently in December. Although they said already monitor the temperature to the highest, it still very cold. So I ask for another quilt from reception to save temperature for sleeping at night.

For what you pay this place is spot on. It?s clean. It?s in as central a spot as you could want. Yea, the rooms are a bit basic and small but it?s value for money considering how cheap it was. I slept fine and it was peaceful considering it?s right in the middle of town.

Paid for a small double but it was a double bed which you could climb over to get into a bathroom so small you could shower while on the toilet and just about enough room for 1 person to stand which is where the door to room and bathroom opened out toRooms: Very small and compactNearby activities: On far end of princes Street so plenty to do in area

Stayed here for a trip away to explore Edinbrugh. Room was very clean and tidy we stayed on the second floor with a view off the castle. Room was small But we worked with it as wasn?t planning on spending alot off time in the room. Bed was very comfy and hardly had any noice from other guests and outside. Would stay here again.

Not a room a POD !!! Seriously I thought this was a joke ! The British airways first class pods are bigger ! I haven?t flown first class just seen the pods !!Absolutely disastrous I?ve set the alarm for 5 hours sleep I?m going to take my chances and drive home , , , two people PHYSICALLY CANNOT stand in the space together ! A prison cell is bigger and that?s not an exaggeration never ever ever again , not even a window !!!! Don?t even get me started in the shower

Well what can I say about this place other than we was expecting the room to be as we had seen when we booked it ... Price shot up to £164 for one night !!! Because of the events on that weekend and they say it's a budget hotel .. as I've put in the description of the room please do your research on this place and ask questions because they are all not like what you see unless you request a room with a window they will throw you in a box room.. No tea or coffee no bins it's plastic basic at its finest ... Location is fantastic but service was not the best had an horrendous night sleep in room 2.3 the room is literally 2m x 1.8m the bed alone takes up half that with one storage port. When asked how did we sleep. We said not great tbh their reply was well it is a budget hotel however I replied not at £164 a night it's not !!! And pictures are decieving hope you find this helpful I do have a video but because I was clearly sarcasticly swearing I carnt post it as you can tell I was delighted. However was very clean. So today we are in Bolton just arrived in another hotel brand and in the image below their bathroom is about the size of the easy hotel full room 2.3Rooms: Clean but please ask to see an image of all the rooms available . We was in 2.3 and wasn't offered a window view at the time of asking

I had the misfortune of staying here last week and definitely wouldn't recommend it. I was going to Edinburgh to catch up with a friend who lives outside the city centre, so I wasn't particularly bothered about having a luxury hotel - I just wanted somewhere to sleep and where I could park my car in a guaranteed space so I could move it freely during the duration of my trip. I found EasyHotel on Booking.com and initially thought £135 was excessive for an EasyHotel, but as the booking.com listing showed that parking was included, it seemed to meet all my requirements and I booked in good faith. It was only later when I started preparing for my trip that I actually looked at the hotel location and couldnt see where there could possibly be parking in that location, so I contacted the hotel, to be told that parking wasnt included - rather the listing showed parking because they offered a discount code for a nearby NCP carpark at a rate of £15 for 24 hours instead of £35. I made a formal complaint, but instead of doing the decent thing and offering to refund and cancel my booking, they directed me to small print on the booking.com site that mentioned the parking being a third party discount (you would never have found this on the listing without being directed to it) and left it at that. Appalling customer service. If I'd known this was the situation with parking, I would have just booked another hotel which offered parking! I then came to attempt to book parking with the NCP carpark, and the discount code I was given wouldnt work. I rang up and was told that the discount code was not valid to pre-book - you can only use it by turning up at the carpark and using it when you park. Given that it was the middle of the Edinburgh Fringe and I wouldn't be arriving in Edinburgh until mid-afternoon, I wasn't comfortable to just take my chances that there would be parking spaces left when I arrived, so I ended up having to pre-book parking at another carpark, which cost me an additional £25, and again this was a multi-storey carpark where I just had to leave my car for the duration of the trip and then use Ubers to travel around Edinburgh which added another £30 onto the expenses of my trip. I then got to the Hotel on Friday. I'd stayed at other Easy Hotels in the past so I thought I knew what to expect, but I'd paid less than £50 in those and the rooms were at least what you could call rooms with a reasonable size bathroom etc. When I got to Edinburgh, and saw the room I'd paid £135 for, I was absolutely appalled. It was smaller than a prison cell. The bathroom is the size of an airplane toilet but with a shower cramped in as well. The toilet was so close to the sink that it was completely unhygenic. I don't think I would have been so angry if the room was being sold for a price relative to the facilities. If the rooms were being sold for £30-£40 like EasyHotel used to do, I wouldn't have a problem, but to charge £135 for a place like this, just because demand is there with Edinburgh Fringe demonstrates absolute greed and contempt for customers. And listing Parking when there was no private parking is blatant fraud - they could have quite easily listed no parking but put in the description that there is a third party discount with NCP and that would have been fine. Instead my entire trip was a disaster through having to fork out for parking, ubers etc

For the specific purpose of an efficient hotel downtown, 4.5/5.For general hotel rating? 3/5.Very clean, great location, and the receptionist was nice. However, It is EXTREMELY small, two people would struggle to be standing at the same time if there?s a suitcase (but I knew it would be small but still). And it?s still very pricey ($177 and $6 to hold our luggage for a few hours before checking in) especially considering the lack of amenities. All in all, the location outweighs those negatives and I would be willing and to stay again but would recommend to a friend after giving a heavy warning about the size of the rooms.

Awful. Rooms are tiny (too small for 2 people to fit in) the windows don't open, moulded shower room (you can hear everything). If you sit on the toilet your feet are in the shower tray. No hand towels, no cups or glasses to have a drink. Noise is absolutely incredible from the road below with no noise insulation at all. Trams run all night in August making it impossible to sleep. Had to pay to store luggage. 'Reception' is a tiny desk at the top of some very steep steps and they are not very forthcoming. Worst place we've ever stayed. The stars are only for location.

For £100 a night, on Princes St, during the fringe, we should have guessed... But yes. This is a pod and not a hotel room. I am 6ft 2 and 17 stone and we are lucky my partner is small because we were really pushing the boundaries of this tiny room. Easyhotel must also be pushing the boundaries of fire safety because if you are travelling with any luggage at all, it will take up the entire floor space and getting in and out the room in an emergency would not be easy. I had to take my suitcase out into the hallway to open it and have room to manoeuvre. The shower and the toilet are right next to each other in an even smaller capsule of your easy tomb. Think.... the small toilet on a bus or coach but instead of just a toilet and a wash basin, it also has a shower which you are expected to be able to use comfortably. The bed itself. Sandwiched into the only other space in the room it could be, was comfy, if a little firm and when we managed to get ourselves into bed and comfortable we slept through, although if you are unlucky enough to have any party people in any room within a mile radius, you will hear everything through the paper thin walls. The staff were friendly, and helpful, and the room itself was clean, but yes, please ensure you are comfortable with sleeping in essentially something the size of an average small cleaning cupboard before booking to stay here.

Awful. Noisy, uncomfortable bed, zero space. Toilets are caravan style in the room. No cups for a drink of water, no hand towels. The bed takes the entire space, there is no floor space. The noise from the road is incredible as they have no noise insulation. As its August, the trams run all night long, and we heard every single one. They will not let you check in early even if your room is ready, and will charge you £2.50 per item of luggage for them to hold it. It is a capsule rather than a room, and an expensive one at that.

If you want to feel like you?re sleeping straight out from a mausoleum in Greyfriars Kikyard then go to easyHotel Edinburg! We booked a double room and we couldn?t walk without being on each other (and we aren?t big). The bed is also small, if you?re tall then your feet will probably touch the wall. I think the space would be fine for 1 person but it?s too small for 2, we felt claustrophobic! There?s also no window but we knew that before booking (which only adds to the feeling of being in a prison cell). There?s no lift, only stairs, which I didn?t mind but could be an issue for people with disabilities.I get that it?s supposed to be cheap but it isn?t our first easyhotel and the one we were in literally days before was much better and cheaper. The 2 stars are only because the room was clean and the staff checking us in was really nice.Safety: You need a key to enter the buildingFood & drinks: No room service and no possibility to eat breakfast at the hotel. There?s a coffee machine at the reception.
