“Solid TK Maxx experience. If you are in town anyway, go for it. 4 stars as there is no parking really and it's only convenient if you are shopping in town. Expect to use public transport or park a fair distance away with edinburgh charges. Not on one floor. If you are disabled it can be used, but save yourself the hassle and go to another branch out of town for ground floor access and disabled parking.”

“On the one hand, it's nice that there are still such department stores in which many fashion brands, especially in the upper price segment, are offered in one place.However, I was hoping for business fashion for men, shirts for the office and the like. However, this is not part of the men's department, the focus is clearly on leisure fashion.We found the well-equipped department for food and beverages interesting.”

“Harvey Nichols or Harvey Nicks as it is often referred to, is a large department store, just outside St James Quarter in Edinburgh city centre, a large department store in a grand building, this is a nice place to shop if you're looking for something a little more premium with a selection from food to fragrance.The store feels high-end so is fancy and well laid out, and the staff are friendly, with many creams and products on hand to test out before purchase.The store closes at 6 pm between Sunday and Wednesday, opening an hour later between Thursday and Saturday, regardless I feel this is far too early for a large department store in a big city, the shopping hours are not well catered to workers, and those who prefer to head out in the afternoons. There are places to sit and take a break while shopping in the store, which I appreciate, and the vibes inside the store are very nice, overall, with some nice products, so it is well worth a look in if you have time while shopping in Edinburgh.The store has five floors, including a Brasserie and Bar on the Fourth Floor, with impressive views of the city, including the Old Town.4*”

“I'm not a massive fan of TK Maxx normally as the disorganisation of stock, sizes of clothing, etc, annoys me. But it wasn't too bad this time, and my daughter managed to find a couple of lovely tops and a pair of boots.”

“I’m not a huge fan of craighleith retail park - it’s a sadly depressing place and given it was built on one of the most important quarry’s - they completely overwrote its history.

However, M&S is the shining light - everything is done well here from customer service to the cafe and the clothes store.

I once witnessed a woman fall over faint in 2024 and the speed and kindness the staff treated her with deserves to be commended.

“I visited Boots Princes Street on Wednesday. I asked a young lady for assistance. Her name is Lorna and she is on the liz earle department. What a lovely lady. She was wonderful. Very patient and thoughtful and was a great help to me. I want you bosses there to know what a lovely person you have working for you. I won't forget her. Let her know she's doing great and is an asset to the company. And it's not all about getting sales and making money. I'm a 75+ independent lady. She made my day. Take note.”

“We popped in on our way back to our holiday Let to see if they had meat for sandwiches. They did and it was actually pretty tasty. Very convenient and compared to prices in the states, actually really good.”

“This is my local shop and it's your typical everyday corner shop. You can buy food and drinks and random supplies if caught short. You can buy booze. You can send and receive parcels and top up various cards. They have a hot food counter with a big selection and some daily fresh cakes. As ever the shop can be half or totally empty at random times but that's what makes it exciting. Also the staff here are always top notch and friendly.”

“The last time I went shopping, it was great. The store had a lot of different things, from fresh food to things you need around the house. The products were of great quality, and the prices were fair. The aisles were well-organized, which made it easy for me to find what I needed. The staff was also friendly and willing to help when I needed it. The checkout process went quickly and easily, which added to a good total experience. “My 16 year old daughter, who had been battling cancer for 7 year's, was using the disabled bathroom, when a worker opened the door and threw her out, our daughter was highly embarrassed and stopped going to the centre, which was one of the few places she enjoyed going to. The centre never apologised to her, instead threatened us with legal action for taking it ro social media. The centre is ran by scum bags. “My friend and I registered for the first time at the end of March. The man who sorted our registration was very proficient and helpful and managed to also find me an unused trolley (of which, there aren't many). I was very pleasantly surprised by the choice of vegan foods available, however, some of the foods weren't much cheaper than the normal shop price. I thought there would have been more of a discount on the items. The woman at the till offered me a free packet of pitta breads, which she said they were giving away but when I got home, I saw that she'd charged me for it on my receipt. All in all, it was still a good shop and we'll be back.”

“I went there yesterday, with the intention of getting a new wallet - but one basically a new version of what I have. Sadly, none seemed to have sections for my disabled pass or photographs. So I tried a couple of other places without success.
Why 'four stars'? The attitude of the young lady busy with something else, reminded me of how I was when I worked. JADE didn't just give vague directions on roughly were to look, she stopped what 'she was in the middle of' and took me right to them!
JADE is 'the' Assistant to look out for as she was genuinely interested in me and actually seemed sorry that she (or Next) couldn't help! The next time I shop up there, I will look out for JADE and if she's not on duty that day, I'll leave and return when she is. NEXT should be proud of this employee.”

“Good shop. Nice clothes for all the family. Prices for clothing and shoes are reasonable as quality is normally good. Didn't have girls coats when I was in. Some for boys though.Some of the furniture I feel is overpriced for the quality. A lot of it is fake wood. Some looks a good fake and worth a bit more, but a lot just looks cheap to me.”
