I had booked for The Comforter but the therapist was off ill, because it had been cancelled twice the team offered me a complimentary facial, I wasn't buzzing about but went along. I have to it was a truly luxurious experience by therapist Kerry in the Edinburgh Spa & one I would 100% recommend & book again. Thankyou to the team for outstanding customer service.”

“Went into Jo Malone unplanned as I was walking past expecting to smell a few different fragrances as I was planning on coming to the shop another time to get my wedding fragrance. Audrey was so helpful and friendly and gave excellent service, she then suggested that we sit down and have a glass of fizz for free while trying different scents. Audrey talked me through the scents and suggested different ones based on what I already wear, and then gave me time to have a think and choose one. I was able to try different combinations of body creams and perfumes on each arm to help me choose. It was a lovely experience and I would definitely recommend shopping in here.”

“First stop after I arrived in Edinburgh for toiletries. They had some bargains on large Yankee candles, so I gave in and purchased one! Plus a few little extras! There is everything you need from shampoo to air fresheners to hair colours, all at reasonable prices too. Shop is nice and bright, and the shop assistant was friendly too!”

“I had an incredible experience in the body shop today, Niamh looked after me so well. I was unsure of what products would suit me and she helped me so much and tailored a specific routine to suit my skin type and lifestyle. She recommended the Morniga range, absolutely love the scent and the products. Niamh is a credit to your store and company and I also had an incredible hand wash and massage. I will be back.”

“This is a very small branch of Boots with only 3 staff members including the pharmacist. They’ve always been very helpful and knowledgeable. I noticed other reviewers leaving bad feedback based on the fact that this branch closes each day between 1pm - 2pm.

This occurs because by law, the dispensing pharmacist must be available onsite at all times when medicine is being handed over to customers….even if by non-pharmacist staff. It’s for patient safety. Therefore that branch MUST close for 1 hour else the one and only pharmacist would not be able to take a break during the entire working day. Obviously, the 2 other staff members, will have to take their break at the same time. They cannot stagger staff breaks as they only have 3 staff, this is a very busy branch and all 3 members must therefore be on duty at the same time.”

“I visited Boots Princes Street on Wednesday. I asked a young lady for assistance. Her name is Lorna and she is on the liz earle department. What a lovely lady. She was wonderful. Very patient and thoughtful and was a great help to me. I want you bosses there to know what a lovely person you have working for you. I won't forget her. Let her know she's doing great and is an asset to the company. And it's not all about getting sales and making money. I'm a 75+ independent lady. She made my day. Take note.”

“Very good experience with the Pharmacy. I needed an emergency prescription for my child on a Saturday. All other pharmacists were closed but Boots was available and put the medicine aside in advance via phonecall so I didn't miss it.On picking up, the Lead Pharmacist (Nalia Ali) was great. Friendly, helpful and did all the due diligence to make sure things were correct. I even received a follow up call on her recommendation as the doctors dosage seemed higher.Excellent service.”

“i am very thankful for the workers here as i was getting grabbed and pulled by people i used to trust.they don’t like me and i don’t like them and luckily my friend that was with me told a worker! and that worker told us , to go to the shops we needed to, then to come back here and she would walk us to the bus stop! she was lovely and waited with me and my friend until we got on the bus. “Hearing TestBooking a ‘free’ online hearing test within Boots couldn’t have been simpler. Their online system was easy to navigate and the appointment confirmation sent almost immediately. I went to the Boots store within the St James quarter, easily accessible by bus. I have posted pics of the store, the testing both reception area at the farthest right corner of the store and a convenient public seating area near to the store entrance should you arrive too early. The audiologist (Kirsty) attended to me promptly…no waiting time involved. Kirsty explained the hearing test process which involved sitting in a sound proofed booth with earphones on then Kirsty sent a series of beeps, at various frequencies, to my ears and I simply had to press down on a button whenever I heard the beeps. The actual test took no time at all. Kirsty then talked me through my results while showing me graphs on her pc screen. This made my understanding the results much clearer. I was then given a letter showing my test results for my GP which would be helpful. I was also offered options and advice for keeping my ears wax free to avoid any hearing impediments going forward. Finally, Kirsty informed me that she has noted my test on her system along with a reminder to take a further test two years on. I couldn’t recommend getting a hearing test more keenly, particularly to anyone like me reaching mid-sixties, who hasn’t had any hearing test previously. Kirsty’s friendly, informative approach, coupled with an easy to access service made the whole experience pleasant and one I have no hesitation to recommend to others.”

“Popped into the shop for something to unclog my pores and was greeted by a girl who was lovely and wasn't entirely sure so professionally passed me to another colleague to help me get the right product. Lara assisted me in a product and gave me really good information on how it works also. We had a nice conversation about lash growth after complimenting each others eyebrows and eyelashes (as her lashes were fantastic) and not once was she forceful or trying to sell anything. Lara was just very friendly and very informative. I usually don't feel welcome in such places as I don't wear a lot of make up but I felt very welcomed in this store and all the women are very presentable and natural which I think helps with the welcome feeling.
