I used to love this cafe back when hot chocolate Milano was still a thing. The luxury chocolate is not luxury at all also they were out of whipped cream on a Sunday afternoon (seriously?). The bathroom was filthy and service slow (probably understaffed). I am over this cafe now, too bad.

Went in on the 20th December with my dog, asked for a tiramisu latte and a puppuccino. I paid £1.10 for the puppuccino and expected it to be whipped cream like before but I was given a small cup of cold milk?? with some coffee in it. I went up to the counter to query this and got plenty of bad attitude from both staff and told that that was what a puppuccino was in cafe Nero and I didn?t have to drink it ! ( no I didn?t, it was for the dog). I explained that this wasn?t what I was given last time but they were both pretty hostile / rude and then said they?d run out of whipped cream. Oh and the tiramisu latte which was supposed to be served with a biscuit they didn?t bother with that either. After the puppuccino incident, out of curiosity I asked as to the biscuit and they said oh we can give you the biscuit. Clearly they just couldn?t be bothered to serve it unless asked. I have not seen either of these staff in Morningside cafe Nero before. Usually there is a very friendly barista with long dark hair and not the young Michael Bolton throwback who served me and his side kick.

Staff were more interested in their not so private conversation than serving staff. With a queue out the door and only one person serving while the other 2 behind the counter discussing their plans for the Christmas period. Waited 25 minutes to be served.

Horrible experience the young guy with long hair shouting we are closed when I was just waiting to use the toilet at 2 minutes after 6pm closing time, having ordered a hot chocolate 20 minutes before but there being a constant queue for the toilet. When you are visiting your young relative in intensive care at the Hospital across the road this is the last thing you need. And then being shouted at to "go across the road".

Absolutely the worst coffee shop in Morningside. Place is filthy. Tables covered in stains, fabric chairs black with dirt. Service slow and poor.

Place was filthy, service slow. Not all the issues here lie with the staff as it's obvious there's not enough of them as they are continually preparing takeaway orders for delivery drivers. However the uncleared tables and waste food covering the floors are totally unacceptable. As is the staff member who's clothes were obviously unclean brushing crumbs from his sweatshirt over the fresh coffees he was preparing. Local council need to look at this shop I can't see how vermin would not be thriving in these conditions.

Had coffee and scone male staff member with long hair was serving me but to busy talking to other member of staff that other customer had to ask to be served, as he put my coffee down he spilt some on the tray then swore not appropriate language
