Reserved an item and then it got sold to somebody else. I got misinformed that I can collect it within 2 hours after the shop's been opened. The only thing I got offered was "apologies", but no responsibility taken. I get it's a charity shop but I just don't trust to buy anything there anymore. I

My mum popped in last week and spotted a chair without a price tag. She spoke to a member of staff and he said the chair was 25, so we popped in together today to pick it up. A different man behind the counter commented that the price tag was missing, and said the chair was 65. My mum told him we?d been in the week prior and we?re told it was 25 as we didn?t want to be overcharged- and then he told us he now wasn?t actually sure what the price was, and wasn?t sure if it had been sold. Then asked another member of staff and he said it was 45. My mum asked him if he could check if it had been sold and he said no, and asked us to pop back after 3 as the original staff member would be working then and could clear this up. So we hung around in the kirkgate for an hour, and then returned to the shop. Despite being told the original staff member by the name of Keith would be working, we were told by a female employee he wasn?t so we had hung around for an hour, for no reason- and the man who told us to come back had conveniently finished his shift as he was nowhere to be seen. A different guy in high vis began ?helping? my mum, and was extremely rude to her- being very blunt and acting as though we were trying to haggle the set price- which obviously wasn?t very set as we were given 3 different prices, so we?re just trying to get a definite answer. He told us the man who gave us 65 for the price was a volunteer so he didn?t know, but if volunteers aren?t trained to price things, then why is he giving us a price he?s not supposed to, and isn?t sure of? There were no apologies for us waiting around for an hour, or any sort of explanation as to the uncertainty of the price, or any sort of accountability taken. The high vis man told us it was 45- which seems reasonable, but when you?ve been mucked about that much we just decided to leave it. Please have your wits about you at this shop as you may be overcharged by volunteers

I was in today, "24/4/23" to buy a TV stand, and I found one I liked when I asked about delivery. The woman at the counter was helpful, and then this very rude man chimed in and that it would cost £25 to deliver my flat. I couldn't believe it. I don't know if he was the manager or not, but he needs to be retained in customer service or removed

Found a lovely electric fire and surround in this shop for my 87 year old mother who lives in West Lothian. Been in and out a couple of times over the past week or so to make sure she would be able to work it easy enough as she has Alzheimer?s and I wanted to make sure she could work this. Took picture of it yesterday and went out to see her on my day off and thought I had nothing better to do today but pay for this and arrange delivery, WRONG, think again. Because I don?t have any more days off this week, like most working people I have to wait another week to get another two days off, I was not allowed to arrange delivery for next week!!! The girls in the shop are so lovely and helpful and the lady who I discussed this with said she would have to speak to the Manager. Fine fair enough and then this abrupt man came up and asked what was up, the young lady explained the issue and he said that they could not do it. I explained again about days off and his short answer was nope can?t do it. Now I totally understand about storage in the shop and all that stuff but really it has already been sitting there three weeks and another week is going to make a difference?? With an attitude like that I will not be back in the shop as HIS attitude really sucks. Oh wait I may pop in next week to see if it is still there and that would be four weeks it has been sat in the shop taking up valuable space. Shocking attitude for a Charity shop or was that the Manager running the shop.

Inadvisable. Nothing professionals. I loosed 15 pound. (delivery) They put their team above the customer. I bought a mattress, paid for the delivery. The delivery man called the buzzer and did not wait a minute. I went to the store to explain to the seller that it had taken a minute and he told me that they are busy, that if you don't answer right away they leave. He told me that I had to pay again for the delivery. I have proof that I was at home because Amazon handed me a package.
