Customer service appears to be very much based on whether or not your face fits in this shop. At 9.30 am on friday 25th November, we found the lady shopkeeper to be quite possibly the rudest in the whole of Edinburgh, which is a shame as we like to support the BHF. Very sad.

Just been screamed at and called a C*** at the top of the managers voice. Physically pushed out of shop. Extraordinary behaviour by manager. Police have been informed and I have liased with the Stockbridge shop with whom I spoke to immediately after the verbal assault. The Charity Commission and the head of BHF is now informed of behaviour. BTW this vile outburst is unusual and the BHF do a sterling job. (Usually.)

Love this wee shop! It's well laid out, clean and tidy. Staff are great, always happy to help and service with a smile, and a wee blether!

Poor customer service - felt unwelcome as a customer due to brusque approach from staff.

This is a decent charity shop and one of the most convenient for the city centre. It's best part is probably the books and the place to start with these will be with the ones in the shop window. These aren't as cheap as you might get at more low key areas, but you get quality rather than cheap items from here. All the items throughout are of a decent standard and although the shop is quite small, it does manage to fit a fair amount in. Generally anything really good is quite easy to find so a thorough search is often a waste of time, but a quick browse usually finds at least one item of interest.

Here, the advantages of having a charity shop located in the city centres are evident in abundance. Recent book releases, the odd tempting album even old football kits are there thanks to the more affluent donators. As with most charity shops, bargains are there to be found and this one is no different. What makes this one stand out is its healthy selection of retro games. I managed to find a couple of decent Gamecube gems amongst others. Worth a look.
