Phoned the pharmacy to ask if they stocked any burn gel. I spoke with someone who identified themselves as the pharmacist on shift that day. Fair enough there was a bit of a language barrier at the beginning of the call, and I had to elaborate on what I was looking for. Once we established what I was looking for the person on the phone confirmed Boots Ocean Terminal don't stock burn gel or anything similar - and all that could be offered was wound ointment and dressings. I then went into the store after going to Holland and Barrett instead, to find the bottles of burn gel in the first aid section and there were a number of bottles on the shelf. Bearing in mind staff may not always be fully trained on every area of the shop floor and plenty of agency staff rotate in the pharmacy - however if someone is in an emergency double check with someone who is trained to answer those questions. Or don't have temp staff answer the pharmacy line - because during operating hours there should always be boots personal who is responsible for the safe operation of the pharmacy. If you work in a clinical environment and identify yourself as such one should be able to trust your duty of care especially when it comes to minor alignments.

This pharmacy is the worst around. Prescriptions are never ready, staff changes every week, and their not particularly the most pleasant or polite. They lack customer service .

Incredibly frustrating experience. I arrived bang on 9am, expecting them to be open as per their advertised opening times. I was in a considerable rush but was told they couldn't open until the pharmacist got there. He finally arrived .... 20 minutes later. By this time, a small crowd had gathered and people had to leave because they were pressed for time. This is NOT good enough! When you're providing a public service you need to be ON TIME or otherwise change your opening hours if you are physically incapable of arriving at work on time.

Generally nice staff.
But recently had a horrible experience with being yelled at for being in the shop 10 minutes before they close. Bitter middle aged woman followed me around the store to demand I leave. I'd entered 5 minutes ago. She's most likely a manger or supervisor. It's a shame because the rest of the staff are nice.

Only giving 1 star due to the fact that the staff must be freezing! I asked the staff member if they were cold and they said yes. You should have heating operational and in use during winter to make the place comfortable to work in, or is that not obvious?!

Boots at Ocean Terminal is a great place. With lovely helpful staff. They always have a great range of products at reasonable prices. I phone up for them to get my tablets from my Doctor. They are so helpful and quick to get the prescription. Within a few days I get a txt saying they?re ready. Great store and staff. 5/5 ?

Pharmacist in here needs more training - shouldn't be allowed to give out medical advice. Went in with a swollen eyelid he kept telling me it was a stye - I told him it wasn't I've had one before and this was different. He told me again it was and to massage it with hot compress and wouldn't give me antibiotic gel which would have slowed it in its tracks. Went back to Glasgow and spoke to someone medically trained - turned out to be cellulitis- If I had massaged it could have spread it which would be very dangerous. Absolutely disgusted with this service.
