They employ extremely rude staff who send you from pillar to post.
Woman on headset pretty much refused to help me today then gave her answer and then didn?t even look at me to end the conversation!
I just had to wander away!
So poor!

Wonderful pharmacy team - so kind, and patient, when I really needed some medical assistance. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

I visited Boots Princes Street on Wednesday. I asked a young lady for assistance. Her name is Lorna and she is on the liz earle department. What a lovely lady. She was wonderful. Very patient and thoughtful and was a great help to me. I want you bosses there to know what a lovely person you have working for you. I won't forget her. Let her know she's doing great and is an asset to the company. And it's not all about getting sales and making money. I'm a 75+ independent lady. She made my day. Take note.

Audiology Dept. We purchased a set of hearing aids on 4th June 2025. On the 16th Aug 2025 we decided to return them under the no quibble 90 day refund policy. No issues whatsoever. Jack listened to us and was very understanding. Full refund within 10 days. Thank you. Mrs George

Yesterday I went in , bought my JPG le classique and went browsing makeup. Believe me : the older lady at No7 and a young Asian woman( I believe she works for benefit, so why was she all the way back near the maybelline couter ??) were following me so much I had to stop and confront them. I looked the Asian young woman straight in the face , she asked me ( after about 10 minutes of stalking me ) if I need help which I answered loudy and strongly: NO, NOT AT ALL. GOODBYE. Finally she went away and I wasn't able to see her at all after that ? same goes for the No7 lady that went hiding in her counter . I was finally able to browse in peace ,
got my pen eyeliner and went away. I never seen such a silly display of stalking customer as if I didn't just spend 100 quids and I will go and steal 8.99 of eyeliner lol please get your head checked out. The idiocy of some people ! Still : don't let them stop you from buying what you need !
Two stars only because the girl that helped at the perfume counter was pleasant, fast, and precise .

Popped in the other day to try and find a liquid blush that would work for me & met Emma at the Benefit counter who was super lovely and helpful. She gave me a couple great recommendations & explained things to me really kindly! Thanks! :)

Pharmacist was rude. Some staff tried to help but didn?t have the knowledge. Had to google what I needed as no one could or wanted to help and even then ended up leaving without what I needed?. In the end had to go to a different pharmacy. Expected better from Boots

Used this boots many times and never had a problem, but today was not nice. Went to pharmacy upstairs to buy a syringe and the lady who gave it to me not only looked at me with disgust but also sended me off with rude hand gesture.
Fyi, not everyone who asks for syringe will use it with drugs (I needed mine to do maintenance of my motorbike). And even if, do people really deserve that kind of treatment?

We were visiting Edinburgh from Canada and my wife developed a nasty looking rash on her leg. We went to see the pharmacist here, mostly to check if it was something to worry about. The pharmacist was very nice and spent some time checking it out. Just wanted to say thanks again. If you have a minor health issue while visiting Edinburgh I highly recommend this pharmacist as a place to get checked.

Staff can be indifferent. They have no information about any orders made online with the Boots 'online doctor' service - which is anything BUT quick and easy.

Yesterday, I entered this Boots store in Edinburgh expecting a normal shopping experience. What I got instead was humiliating, infuriating, and completely unacceptable.
After using the self-checkout, I was shocked to find that the machine gave me a foreign banknote instead of a £10 note. I calmly approached a staff member to explain what had happened and ask if I could exchange it for the correct change.
Rather than receiving basic courtesy or help, I was met with suspicion and condescension. The cashier looked at me as though I were trying to scam them, and claimed that I was lying ? despite the issue being entirely their machine?s fault.
The cashier then called over the manager, and I hoped, at the very least, for some understanding or even a simple apology. Instead, the manager was just as rude, cold, and dismissive. Not once did either of them acknowledge that I had been inconvenienced, or that the fault lay entirely with their system ? not me.
I walked out of that store feeling humiliated, disrespected, and incredibly angry. For a company as well-known as Boots, this level of customer service is a complete failure.
I will never return to this store, and I strongly advise others to avoid it as well. No one should be treated like a criminal. Boots should be ashamed of this behaviour.

I had a really uncomfortable experience when I went in this afternoon. I was wandering around the premium section when a beauty specialist approched me. I refused her assisstance as I was just browsing at that point however I could see her watching me as I walked around. As someone who also works in retail I appreciate that you have to be weary however I wasn't acting suspsiciously at all, in fact I touched one display item and put it back. I then picked up an item to buy and continued to walk around, planning on buying a couple more bits that I had seen and then the same woman apporached me again. I could see her watching me as I continued to walk around and then I picked up another item, intending to buy. At this point she came up a third time to offer me a basket though I was holding only two items. I refused as like I say, I was holding two items. I went to put one of them back and I watched the same person then walk round to check it was actually there.
I just left after this as I was made to feel unfcomfortable for no reason.
As a customer who regulary shops at boots, I am disheartened to know that customers are treated this way. I was one of few customers in at the time so if they wanted to keep an eye out they could have been more subtle instead of making me feel this way and because of that they also lost out on a sale.
