“Went into the shop in Lasswade to have cleats put on my shoes. Served by Chris, what a fabulously knowledgeable and funny guy. I had no intention of buying a bike, but because I liked his 'no pressure' approach I ended up asking his opinion, just in case I was looking. Super helpful, within 2 minutes he had me completely hooked on a white FX3. I spent an hour in the shop, shoes forgotten. Ended up phoning one of my besties who works in the fire service about coming in to see Chris about her next triathlon bike. Back in on Wednesday, she has bought a Enmondo, and I have applied as an employer to have the cycle for work scheme so I can go back and get my fx3. Love this shop - will take all of my employees in. I had an awkward order and some technical errors crept up as my insurance voucher was causing problems but Douglas was patient and polite throughout and made sure I had everything needed on my order and prepared it well. You can try and ride the bikes outside near the shop before you buy the one that suits you best! Bikes are reasonably priced and each bike was professionally restored, went through proper checks and care and every bike has its own character. It was an easy purchase for me. “On December 23 , 2023 , my bicycle sadly died , and it is my means of transportation to get work , arroun 15km cycling.I almost didn¨t go shopping for my new bike because of the bad reviews . I went to a couple of well-know stores in the city , but the offer of "cheap hybrid bikes" was very limited and they need many extras , such as fenders . The model that I liked was offered by EVANS , and I did not hesitate to go and meet the store and its amazing crew . FINDLAY assisted to me and we saw what interested me kindly and patiently , because it is already know that many times , WE , CUSTOMERS , inexperienced and impatient due to different circumstances .I am happy to see for my self that the Evans crew is great at self-motivated at work , they know what they doing an I have not doubt that Findlay y is an proactive expert and has people skills .”

“Everything was fine in the end got what I needed but had to change my order, when it came to pay the guy didn't have a clue what he was doing, I asked to pay by card and he rang it up and said that be £35 please, went to tap my card and he said NO ive rang it up now am needing cash for the sale, I only had £20 in my wallet, so asked take 20 cash and the other 15 stick it on my card please, with this he just looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language.. so after a minute I said mate do you want me to show you what to do?? Silent he said nothing so I then said, will I make your job easier and choose a similar item that's £20 mate, which I did, he then rang that item through so now his till is saying £55 he took my money and said hope there not a problem and you have to bring them back because I can only give you a credit note for the £20 not the £55 with that he opened his till and proceeds to give me £35 back for a item that I never bought in the end and to start with never even gave him any money to start with either.. told him to keep it, really think he thought I was giving him a tip for his service that morning, he may of been tired as the shop had just opened or was it the mad rush myself and 1 other customer walked in at the same time.. 100% il be back soon for a massive shop especially if he's o the tills again could get my shopping for nothing next time all my money back and get a recite just incase i do need to bring anything back.. that last bits a joke.. some staff training my be required...”
