Asda have implemented a system where you need a receipt to leave.
The item I went in for wasn?t in stock so I didn?t have a receipt.
I expected I could just ask the member of staff in the self checkouts to let me out. He said he couldn?t and I had to walk all the way to the post office and back to leave. I asked for a manager as this seemed ridiculous.
Manager appears and I ask why can?t they let me out. They say it?s company policy from head office.
Then they say I have to abide by their ?one way system?. They said they would show me how to get out.
They proceeded to take me to the front door and tell me to pull open the no exit barrier like a shop lifter to leave. Apparently this should have been obvious as they expected me to know this was the correct way to leave if I didn?t buy anything.
If you implement this system there is no way any sensible person would do it without an override for people who don?t buy anything.

Would give more stars but recently it becomes hassle to access this McDonald's as Asda closing second entrance from main road early and you need now to walk through all Asda to get access to McDonald's via post office as they closed direct access to customers to McDonald's from main entrance. I'm surprised McDonald's have not complained about it as it makes very difficult to access it.

Don?t see much point in being open 24/7 if a lot of shelves are empty when you visit after 9 pm. Also toilets are dirty.
Other than that, staff is nice.

The Shop needs a good clean and the products need to be displayed better . Pallets of Juice ect taking up space and staff zooming about with large metal crates in ailes getting in the way . Worst Fruit out of all the Supermarkets .The shop looks like a midden .

I was in Asda this morning and needed some help with returning items and then other issues with the pizza counter being closed as short staffed. Fiona on the customer desk turned things round and helped so much and went the extra mile to resolve the situation. Fiona is an asset to Asda and should be thanked by one of the area managers as she was outstanding. I don?t normally do supermarket reviews but today I felt like she deserved a thanks.

7pm on a friday night and only one checkout open...this seemes to be the norm for Asda now..27/1/24..Saturday morning 10.30 am..1 checkout on and a queue of 20 customers waiting..

A poor asda.I get stock needs replenished on shelves, but go seady on the amount of cages in aisles, empty pallets and cages of cardboard, getting in the way of staff because they cant stock at closing time.

I would like to say thankyou to Charlene on Customer servicefor her help today trying to locate a missing parcel! She was very helpful unfortunately another colleague came across and was very rude to Charlene and my self. I was on the customer service phone and she kept interrupting and telling me to hang up. I am afraid her customer service left a lot to be desired!!!!!
