I had a problem with my MacBook Air 2022 last week where the camera wasn?t being detected, so iv booked appointment with the genus bar for the Thursday to have it looked it and they ran the report and it came back the camera and led are faulty and it?s covered under my warranty but due to having to wait for the part to be delivered they gave me two options take away or leave it, I said I would leave it and it would safe there so I thought, so yesterday I get a call from someone from the Apple Store and they said they found liquid damage on the motherboard I said alright who?s done it because iv left my MacBook in your care for the last few days I got ? I don?t believe it was a staff member that?s done it? so I said right I want the camera and led fix it?s under warranty she then told me that I would have to pay 889 to have it fixed bare in mind a brand new laptop is 899 for the air model when I picked up the guy explained that it wasn?t the motherboard that was damaged it was not the logic board and it would need replaced, along with camera, led light and the screen, turns out the first person on the phone failed to mention, I asked the man to send me a repair report because I have to claim it through my house insurance and he says not a problem il send it right away over 24 hours later still no report, am down hundreds of pounds worth of laptop and am getting pushed pillar to post because not one person in apple is willing to help

I visited the store to purchase a power bank, but was informed by a staff member that many of the products displayed on the website are not available in-store. When I inquired about the difference between two specific products, the consultant began reading the labels and simply stated that they were from different brands, without offering any further technical insight. This experience raised concerns about the staff?s knowledge of Apple products and their ability to provide informed guidance to customers. I strongly recommend that Apple evaluate the product knowledge of each consultant to ensure they are equipped to offer accurate and helpful information?not just process transactions. Store personnel should embody the expertise expected from a brand like Apple.

Terrible customer service. I came in to buy an Apple Watch I knew exactly which model I wanted and what colour, I just wanted a member of staff to give it to me and wanted to pay and leave the store. Super quick and easy. I was told by a member of staff that ?they are full today? and nobody could come serve me? I went upstairs to browse and saw about 5 staff members just standing and chatting. No customers. Downstairs area only had two staff members helping customers. If I knew exactly what I wanted to buy, why was I turned away? They said you can order online or make an appointment and come back the next day so it?s a big waste of time, because isn?t the whole point of going into the shop is so I don?t have to wait for it to arrive if I order it online?

Spent several hours there backing up data and sorting out several devices. All staff helpful, but Gary was my main guy and he was friendly, knowledgable, and generally excellent!

I visited the Edinburgh Apple Store last weekend to return or exchange a faulty item I purchased online. I spoke to a staff member named Craig and explained that the item was bought online and asked if he could help or refer me to the right person.
Instead of listening, he kept asking questions I had already answered. He was unhelpful, dismissive, and came across as arrogant and rude. In the end, he didn?t assist me or direct me to anyone who could help.
I left feeling very frustrated and dissatisfied with the service. I believe staff should be helpful and approachable, but my experience with Craig was the complete opposite. His lack of communication skills makes me question whether he should work in such a reputable store.

Had occasion to have an Apple device corrected and only possible by experts. At store reception was advised that this should be straightforward and was able to book an appointment two hours ahead.
Warm welcome by genius manager in first floor studio and passed on to Kayvon who quickly assessed the issue and took approximately 15 minutes to totally resolve the technical problem.
From start to finish the quality of service was exceptional.

I purchased the iPhone 16 Silicone Case with MagSafe in September last year at this store. I never dropped my phone or did anything to damage it. The case is showing wear and part of it now came off. I went into the store and they would not help at all. They claimed it was a tear which is not covered. It was a £49 case and it doesn't even last a year? The leather iPhone cases used to last much longer. I have been a loyal Apple customer for almost 20 years. I can't believe they can't just replace the defective case.
