Medium sized discount supermarket.
Popped in for a sandwich and a drink and was very pleased with the price and quality.
Loses a star for having the worst self service tills in town and there are rarely and staff on the ordinary tills.
The doors on the Gorgie Road side of the building are always locked for some reason.

Absolutely shocking experience at Aldi on 24th June around 4:15pm. I was served by a staff member managing the self-checkout area (white male, bald-headed), and the way he spoke to me was completely unacceptable. I simply asked for a bag, and instead of offering basic courtesy, he snapped at me saying it?s ?a new policy? and complained that he?d ?had a long day.? His tone was rude, dismissive, and there was not even a hint of professionalism or friendliness.
I expect better from Aldi. No customer should be made to feel like a burden for asking a simple question. This level of customer service is disgraceful, and I won?t be shopping at this store again. Plenty of other supermarkets treat customers with basic respect?Aldi clearly doesn?t!!

Very unpleasant store manager. He was refusing to address an issue. I had to confront him and force him to call his line manager, who resolved the issue to our satisfaction.

My experience with Aldi was excellent. The store is clean and tidy, and the organization makes it easy to find products quickly. The prices are very competitive compared to other stores, and the quality is excellent, especially for fresh produce and their own brands. While the selection isn't as extensive as in some larger stores, the essentials are always available. I recommend shopping here for those looking for quality at a reasonable price.
