Had a wonderful visit with Yasmin and absolutely loved her Croft. Her passion for her farm, her yarn and her products comes out at all times. I fell in love with a special traditional Ganesy and never took it off.

I arrived at 1pm today, Google has said it would be open until 2pm. The gates were closed with a sign saying "Closed". From where we were staying it cost us 40mins driving. It may be okay for locals but for tourists, we rely on accuracy. So please update Google.

Stunning view during the 9 hours drive. Had my best experience here meeting good people and really enjoyed the whole trip. Went to talisker, mountain areas and farms to explore.

Yasmin is absolutely amazing. We had the best conversations, learned so much about wool, Skye and Scottish life, plus purchased the most beautiful, authentic Skye yarn and a bonus Harris Tweed pillow by Sally. As a true native of Skye, Yasmin is so passionate about her craft and the isle. 10/10 recommend a visit to see her, the shop and her animals.

We visited Island at the Edge several years ago, and it was a highlight for our trip to Scotland. The owners were warm and so kind to share the history of their company. We got to meet some of the animals and got some great advice on roving and woolen products. We would love to go again!

Almost accidentally stumbled upon this wonderful little shop and I?m so glad that I did! Yasmin was lovely and told us some colorful and fun stories about her sheep and cows. Picked up some souvenir yarn and it?s so soft and squishy, I can?t wait to knit with it. Absolutely one of the highlights of my trip to Skye, which is saying something. Thank you so much for the lovely yarns?both of the wool and spoken kind. :)

We had such a fabulous time meeting Yasmin and her animals. She knew so much about the island and the history of the animal breeds she had as well as the wool making process and knitting etc. Personally she was fascinating too and we loved hearing about her life and how she ended up on Skye. This tour would be fun for kids and adults. Here are some pics I took on the tour.

I am so incredibly thankful I found Yasmin?s croft on airbnb and booked a tour for my family.*Her tour was the highlight of the Isle of Skye portion of our Scotland adventure.*Yasmin has such a love for her croft and animals that comes out so beautifully through her storytelling.I could have stayed all day at Yasmin?s croft listening to her stories and watching her animals. She is incredibly warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to her animals & croft.I learned so much on our 2-hour tour and had so much fun. We got to meet her highland cows, donkeys, sheep, and her pet dog! ?I highly recommend anyone who is in the area to book a tour and you too will fall in love with all of Yasmin?s animals!

This was the highlight of my trip to Scotland! I'm so glad I met Yasmin and her herd of animals. The store sells beautiful handmade woven goods too.

As an avid knitter, one thing I wanted to do on the Isle of Skye was purchase some special yarn. After reading the reviews of this place, I made sure to include it in our itinerary for our visit. However, when we arrived I was told the shop was closed for a "private tour" that would last 45 minutes. I expressed wanting to see the yarn, only to be told there's "not that much" anyway and there was nothing she could do. This was disappointing in and of itself, but being yelled at and called rude was incredibly hurtful. There are other, friendlier places to buy beautiful yarn on Skye that I suggest looking for instead--unless you enjoy being called names.

Had an amazing visit to Yasmin?s Croft thru Airbnb experience. She is so funny and down to earth and it was great to learn about her life and time as a crofter. So much fun seeing the baby lambs and cows too!

Such a great place! We were on a family tour around the isles and it was a first stop where I finally managed to find the locally produced yarn (and trust me, we stopped by a lot of shops...). Wish we took the tour, but we didn't have the time, unfortunately. The owner is visibly passionate about what they're doing and care greatly for their sheep. Also very knowledgeable about knitting - as a beginner myself, really appreciated their expertise on how much yarn I'd need for my projects. Good range of options too. Considering it's all hand-woven, definitely worth it!Thank you and I hope to be back to Skye one day!

Wonderful shop, family, farm, etc. I bought sooo much from the shop - a gorgeous fisherman?s sweater for me, plus lots of mittens, scarfs, and skeins of wool as gifts/souvenirs for family.
