we have stayed at Barony a few times as we planned to have our wedding there. We had our special day on Wednesday which was amazing. Hannah and the team did an amazing job. All the staff were absolutely amazing and made our stay so special.

Loved our little get away to Barony castle. The building itself is so beautiful! The room was spacious, pool was lovely and the food was incredible! Lots to do in the area as well. The staff are super helpful. Would recommend to anyone!

We had a lovely experience, staff were very helpful and friendly both reception and in the bar. Rooms were gorgeous, food was delicious and the cocktails. Had a lovely experience, and mum loved the birthday card.

Was looking forward to staying here in March, called in January and booked one nights stay asked if I could pay cash on arrival was told that was ok.
Then called to book a second night got another deal that was advertised on there page booked this again stating i would pay cash on arrival to which I was told yet again this was fine .
Then I received an email stating that I had to pay in full straight away for it all as this was the kind of deal it was,
Bare in mind I had spoken to three people prior to this and was not told this one being a manager!!
I then asked if they would take deposit or could they wait a few wks and I would pay in full,
Sadly customer service after mistake on there behalf was terrible was told it had to be paid that week in full or it would be cancelled,
To which I replied cancel then really disheartening by everything and way it was dealt in the end

We enjoyed a great dinnere here! Service was mostly very young people which is nice to see. They were all lovely, polite and friendly. For a starter we went with chicken & ham terrine which was nicely seasoned and went really well with the tarragon mayonaise. As a main we had sizzling steak (peppercorn sauce was incredible) and lamb 3 ways - delicious! Tender meat, rich gravy, nicely roasted carrot. For pudding we enjoyed the lemon tart acompanied by super tangy lemon sorbet and chocolate mousse! Definitely worth a visit if you're around.

The staff was lovely and managed to find us the table even though there was a wedding reception going on in the hotel. The burger was too well done, the oat latte was off, and tasted a little bit funny. The £18 fish I ordered was supposed to be salmon and on the plate I got some other white fish (which was delicious but not what I ordered). We didn't have a heart to tell the waiter because we knew they were extremely busy. We were very hungry so the portions seemed small.Worth a visit if you're in the area but stay clear of the coffee ?Scotland | UK | RestaurantParking: A lot of space in front of the hotel to park.

Living local to the area, myself, partner and 1 year old enjoy using the swimming pool. The pool & changing facilities are comfortable, clean and at a good temperature. We are only in the water for no more than 30 mins, but our son enjoys every minute. My only gripe (and that's why it's not the full 5 star review) is the price. To my understanding, it is £10 per person to use the facilities. This includes the gymnasium & the swimming pool. We will never use the gym and only use the pool. Therefore we feel £10 per person is really expensive. I would encourage a re think over pricing and would see value in a £10 per person if indeed you were to use both pool & gym. However, If only one facility was required, a £6 per entry would be sufficient. All in my own opinion of course.

The staff are so friendly and given the many offers that the hotel offers this hotel offers great value for money if visiting the area. Yes in some area the hotel looks tired but it is clean, warm and offers a good choice of meals to suit all but above all the hotel is friendly and welcoming, what more can you ask for during a weekend break

One night stay in the Tweedale suite. Beautiful exterior of the Castle, really striking as you approach. We arrived couple of hours before check in so we had a wander around the grounds and took in the fantastic map of Scotland. Grounds themselves are more woodland walks than manicured gardens, but lovely all the same. (Did notice a bit of litter about the place though, which was a bit of a shame.) After our wander, we sat in the lounge and had a couple of drinks waiting on the room. After getting the keys, we headed up and on initial entry, we were very happy. Separate entry hall, huge main bedroom, with leather sofa, beautiful four poster bed, nesprrsso machine, big TV. You also get wee snippets of the views out of the windows. The sunken bath in the turret is also very impressive. After spending a bit of time in the room and using the facilities, Barony suffers what all Scotland Country Castle Hotels seem to suffer from and that's tiredness. Simple things and cheap to fix like cracked lampshades on the bedside table, peeling paint on one of the walls. Nothing major, but noticeable - and can make all the difference in your overall impression and stay. Onto dinner which was superb. Really lovely menu, venison I had was just sublime. Service at dinner was a wee bit iffy - No drinks order taken when we were sat down, and we didn't actually get our drinks until we were halfway through our starters. Breakfast was pretty good, decent selection and well cooked. I always judge a hotel based on would we pay what we paid and go back? On this occasion we probably would, as it was a good DBB offer. However, If it was full priced? Sadly probably not.
