First time visit stayed in one of the lodges ,service was ok food was fine but little ones burger wasn't cooked right a little raw inside ! Had to leave most of our meals as 3 dogs came in ,allergic! So thanks for that would have been nice to not have dogs in a restaurant were food is, ?

This was booked as a birthday treat, which we travelled over an hour to reach. The dining area is lovely, a nice atmosphere. The service however was abysmal. The restaurant would be at my guess half full when we entered, many empty tables. We were seated and presented menu's, and then somehow became invisible. We sat for half an hour before deciding to dine elsewhere.
At approx £40-50pp for 3 course with drinks, I expect much better.

We headed to the restaurant for convenience after just having arrived and checked-in.Nice selection on the menu. Something for everyone. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was very good. Steak pie, lasagne and gammon steak are three dishes we can highly recommend. The atmosphere is also nice, with music playing in the background and the occasional visits by the peacocks.

Lovely surroundings to sit, dog friendly, pleasant with particular attention/acknowleding the dog which is always nice, food was fantastic which I was very surprised at (wrongly thought it'd be pretty standard due to being a holiday park). Food averagely priced especially fairly considering its on a park (although a bottle of cider was £6). As said the quality and taste of the food was fantastic, burger clearly hand made, steak pie filled to the brim with tender steak, baileys cheesecake delicious with all portions a really good size (you won't leave hungry). Hard not to dine here for the rest of the week instead of experiencing somewhere else, that's how nice it was.Didn't need to book but think that's because the park was quiet when we first arrived.

Food tasted great but the portion sizes were small for what your paying for. Left the place tonight still feeling hungry. Some food that came out was incorrect and took 10 minutes to be replaced meaning that person had to eat by themselves as everyone else was finished.

Fantastic steak night! Dropped in for tea one Friday night and can honestly say that the steak was one of the best we?ve had in a very long time! It was cooked to perfection - we normally like it rare and more often than not, in other establishments, it?s only ever medium ?ish? but this was cooked perfectly and a great cut of meat. Will definitely be back soon!

Had a nice meal here with my wife and daughter. The food was good vaule for money and good quality. 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £55 was not to be knocked. Steak pie was lovely at only £11 a main can't complain. Don't understand the negative reviews

Shockingly bad Christmas menu at £45 per head with band. Starter chosen was prawn cocktail, nothing special, then turkey. Well the turkey slices may have been OK but no sign of any fresh vegetables. Tinned mixed veg, one tough, tiny apology for a roast potato obviously from frozen, some mash, and three small Brussels which were strangely tough. All on a little plate like school dinners. When a number of us asked for cranberry sauce, a tiny dish of reddish syrup appeared to be shared between six. Christmas pudding no better. Served with a splash of whitish sauce. Really shameful to serve this up on a special occasion. Stay away.

Was a lovely meal. After reading the reviews i was dubious. Hubby had steak pie and thought it was lovely and i had hunters chicken which was beautiful. Also a portion of onion rings which was lovely..

Food was very good, all came in good time. Very big portion sizes.Read previous reviews and decided to book tables each night during out stay at Westlands.Lovely setting within the building, lots of capacity but seem low on staff numbers.

As per other reviews here - we had to book ... though the place was empty when I booked, when we arrived, 4 tables occupied - I guess this is a staff shortage issue. We ordered - great stuff, 2 our of three were correct, one curry was short of rice (ordered half and half) and the chuckney was missing - That said there was plenty of food on the plate so not a major issue, and not worth bothering about, The food was VERY good so no harm done. The drinks were good value also, typical pub prices. The restaurant is dog friendly, which is great, unless the dog at the next table to you smells - (though they left after a few mins, so no need to move). All in all a good experience - 5 stars had the order been 100% - so close!!

Steaks and chips were all anaemic, not that great especially for the price, was slow and missing a starter too.
