Had my MOT done with them at reasonably short notice. Car failed and work was needed on the brakes all around ( I had expected this as it wasn't handling properly ). The garage spent a lot of time trying to find the best solution and ended up going with the most cost effective way to resolve the issues - i.e. they didn't just ramp up the price and add in things that were not needed. Am pleased with the level of service and will use them again to MOT my other cars.

Shocking place. I brought my car in last week as exhaust was blowing. Was quoted £600 to fix car. I almost scrapped it. Took the car elsewhere and none of what Balmoral said needed fixed. What DID need fixed cost 170 quid. Daylight robbery. Shop local they say ? No when they shaft you like that !!!

Incredible service, broke down nearly 30 miles away, called this place and breakdown truck was with us us within the hour.My children and I arrived freezing cold and the owner and staff graciously rallied round and I shared their lunch of hot soup and sandwiches.The car was taken straight after lunch (I think the mechanic actually cut his lunch short) Car fixed within half an hour and we were on our way.Can't thank them enough..

Scammers. Faking your MOT result. Other garages don?t find the same faults and quote way less then this garage. Doing things on the edge of legal actions to make sure you are in trouble, but can?t fight them back. If you want to avoid troubles and waste of time avoid them.

Scammers! Avoid!Offered service with picking up and dropping off the car - car has never been dropped off. They?ve done MOT fraud and it?s being investigated at the moment. Quoted nearly £2000 to fix the issues, other garage did MOT again and quoted for £170. They postponed appointment to make sure MOT will expire. They speak on the phone really fast to make sure I don?t understand what?s the issue. Everything has been recorded as I realised at some point it is a scam and can be proved. Professional scammers, avoid at all cost.

Started coming here during COVID when they extended the MOT on everyone car, needing to use my car almost daily I felt it was still important to have one. Balmoral were definitely essential workers and enabled me to continue using my car safely during a crazy time. I wouldn't go past them now.

Had a number of warning lights show when leaving to go on holiday (drive to England) this garage pulled out all the stops and had me safely back on the road within a couple hours very friendly and reassuring.

Great local garage discovered by accident who performed an MOT, service and some repairs to my wife?s Audi. Friendly service and honest advice, a rare find these days. Will certainly use them again.

If i could give 0 stars i would, saw a car i liked on the forecourt with price on for sale, purchased the car, to be then told it failed its mot and service, so much work needed done to it, waited 6 weeks for it to be fixed, had the car 2 weeks had to go back with it, squeaking noise from steering among other issues, they then had the car for a further 10 days, collected the car and within a day red engine management light came on! When i called them they said drop it off to them, i said i didnt want to drive it with that light on, i had to call out the aa to pick the car up!! Car was back to them again for a further 7 days, now i have had the car 1 year and just put it in another garage for its mot to be told its failed with a cost £1k checked what was needed to realise most issues were what they said they had replaced last year!!! Parts that were "replaced" should have had a life span of approx 700000 miles at least!!! I have done 10000 miles in a year!! emailed them and shock they wont respond to me! Trading standards are now aware of this cowboy set up!!! AVOID this garage!!!!
