Just as bad as the St. Leonards one in my honest opinion. Finally, they answered my review today for the one I updated on the back of the latest flaw in their sytsem.I handed in a prescription from Calderglen, just across the road, and while it was being looked at, I assumed that they were checking to see if they had the items that I required. Thedy accepted it and when I returned around 5pm, I was only informed then that there was NO lamotrigine. When asked if I had enough, I said I could stretch it out until Saturday. When I arrived on Saturday, it had a note on the door "Saying due to staff shortages they had to close". So it would be Monday before I could collect.I'll just stop using them altogether tbh, they're not a trustworthy company at all in my opinion.

Calderwood needs a pharmacy to open where a customer can be treated fairly with compassion, kindness and friendliness, where the nearest gp practice can be confident of sending urgent prescriptions safe in the knowledge that they will be processed in a timely manner without inconvenience to their patients, excellent staff with exceptional customer service skills who do not discriminate based on how black your skin is or how fat your body is or how bad your apparent English spoken communication is, where the staff are trained to serve, not only in the pharmacy side but also the retail side, where there is adequate stock in the front shop to service the needs of every customer, where the backroom has a stock system that works and is able to locate and dispense urgent medication, where the website informs of the actual opening and closing times including lunch times, where there is a telephone that works and a staff member trained to know they should pick it up and answer. If all these basic functions at the minimum would be available in Calderwood that would be great but unfortunately this community is not worthy so there is no such service available to us. Maybe someone who reads this review will think of us and open a pharmacy urgently as we are desperate need. Thank you for taking the time to read this review from one unfortunate customer of Rowlands pharmacy who not only waited 2 weeks to collect urgent medication but then a further 1 hour in the shop to get said medication to then be given abuse based on no apparent reason except that she is an asian fat woman with too dark brown skin who was polite in the face of such bad bad bad service. Unfortunately I need to return one more time to collect medicine that I should have received on that day but was mysteriously missed from the bag. It has been 3 days and I dare not go back with fear of being mistreated again. I need strength to do this one last time. This Rowlands pharmacy is not a pharmacy, it is a shop front with signage for a well known and respected pharmacy company, occupying prime retail space in Calderwood Square, employing bad attitude people who have little or no training, selling next to nothing and also not having any sort of system to match patients to medication. In a different life, I would be motivated to stop everything and to go study for a degree, become a pharmacist, open my own pharmacy, serve the good people of this community but unfortunately it is beyond my capabilities so I hope another person will be able to do this as I am currently preparing myself mentally to collect this medicine when I really do not want to go inside this farce of a pharmacy.

Just had an awful and totally stressful experience this evening with the pharmacist and his 2 assistants who refused to dispense my medication, for being too late! I went earlier today, to be told that the pharmacist was on his lunch, so I had to go back later tonight (got there at 17:35). The same thing happened last Saturday, when the pharmacist was going for lunch "within the hour" but decided to go ten minutes later. The Saturday before that they didn't even have my medication in stock! Even when trying to reason with them this evening, and impressing upon them that I needed my medicine , they just closed ranks and flipped the situation to imply that it was myself who was being aggressive. Unbelievable!!!! I have to say this is the least helpful pharmacy I have ever visited The attitude, lack of sympathy and understanding demonstrated by this trio was deplorable and wholly unacceptable. I will be taking this matter up further with Rowland's senior management so I won't go into too much detail on here. Suffice to say this is the worst pharmacy I have ever used in East Kilbride, bar none. Hopefully the staff here will be able to enrol in a Customer Care programme, at the earliest opportunity, to help them develop their interpersonal skills and learn how to deal with people who are in need of medication to help their health and well being.

Went in to collect prescriptions only to be served by a what I could only describe as a wee ned with an attitude. Hopefully someone else will open another chemist in the calderwood so don't need to go. She should take a look at her colleagues and how welcoming and polite they are to customers.

Worst chemist in Ek.Went yesterday and waited for 25 mins in queue only to be told my prescription wasn?t ready, even although the doctor sent it the night before. Told I would have to wait a further 20 mins. There was one girl serving and one pharmacist. They need to get their act together and get more staff.

I took down a negative review I had posted on here as the issue I had was resolved after the owner encouraged me to contact the complaints department. They were very helpful and in future I'll be contacting them before leaving a negative review.

Went to pick up prescription on Sat morning at 9am as this was the opening time advertised (Tried during the week but the queue is terrible). Stood waiting for 10 mins only to notice a print out on the window saying, they don't open until 10am. Why do they not have this notice on the front door beside their opening times???? Went and did other shopping and returned at 9.40am only to discover they were open and there was already a queue. I appreciate things have changed due to Covid restrictions but simple changes could make it a little bit easier for their customers. Sorry not impressed one little bit. I left this review about a month ago regarding opening times. Now I am doing a review about the service. My prescription was put in last week. I went to pick it up today, to take to my surgery for storage in their fridge as instructed. I picked a time when I hoped it would be quiet and not have to stand in a long queue. Luckily it was quiet. Went in and a customer was pacing back and forth eating a roll and sausage???? Seriously, this is acceptable? I was then informed by the assistant that they had one of my vaccines but not the other one. I was under the impression they both had to administered at the same time. I was told they might be able to order a pack of ten and take one from that but couldn't guarantee they would have it in time. Why did they not do this sooner then??? I was then given the option to try somewhere else. I asked why I was not phoned. I was then told that they had other customers to consider. I then told them I was not interested in other customers. I was only interested in my own health right now. I am due to go on dialysis and the last thing I need to be doing is running around different pharmacies. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED at the service I received. What happens if you are ill, elderly or disabled, have no transport?? Yet you are expected to just nip to another pharmacy?? COMPLETE SHAMBLES

This must be the most unhelpful chemist in East Kilbride, my partner had run out of very important medication, and the counter staff was so unhelpful and rude , and refused to give emergency prescription. What is point of organising to have prescription order service there if they can't help, and this issue of off site filling of prescription is a terrible idea.Usually very busy lack of staff or too busy gabbing or hiding in the back, and when they do serve you staff so slow , rude and awkward.I will Never use Rowland again especially calderwood branch and have spoken to GP and asked to have our prescription's sent to Murray chemist , who I have found to be much more helpful.I think their staff need training on customer service, they say we can do so much but in reality they refer you to GP so much for chemist being front/ first line of primary care, another point the shelves are half empty. This pharmacy used to be good but now they Don't their service is awful and when I said that I would stop using them , it was like no problem bye.I also note that they only respond to good reviews obviously not interested in dealing with complaints and issues. If I could give half a point I would have scored them that

Absolutely shocking service at this chemist..had spoke to a member of staff last week about shortfall on my wife's prescription and was told to come back after Tuesday following week to get missing tablets and that she had made note..came back on the Wednesday to be told they knew nothing about shortfall so was informed I had to go home and get incomplete box and come back for a third attempt to which I was accused of making derogatory comments in shop to which I replied to go and check ccTV and you'll notice that it was customer next to me who was vocal about their service not me..all I tried to do was rectify missing tablets from prescription and followed their instructions only to be told I'm repeating myself and that I made derogatory comments..shocking service from someone who wants to get their facts right..they also never informed me that prescription was short when I picked it up so rather than accept responsibility for their mistake they'd rather insult the customer..outraged is perhaps an understatement

Absolutely shocking service..after discovering my wife's prescription was incomplete it took three attempts to receive the shortfall and only after pharmacist had tried to belittle me and make false allegations about myself making derogatory comments to staff..not too keen to check ccTV though when I informed him that it was the customer next to me that had been very vocal about the service provided not myself..no he'd rather try and slander a customer of thirty yrs before admitting any error on his behalf..have ALWAYS been polite to staff in this shop..ALWAYS!!..disgusting attitude from an arrogant so called EDUCATED individual..wife has now informed surgery that we no longer want her prescriptions sent to this chemist though unfortunately it was too late to stop current repeat..

You wait 20 mins to put prescription in and another 20 mins to pick it up. There needs to be more staff employed here. Maybe they could consider a letterbox drop off re prescription it's not the staffs fault .

Im certainly in the percentage that the NHS is. Under a lot of pressure which reflects on the hospitals, surgerys & down to the pharmacist which are all effected as you get the knock on effect, but I'm under no illusions that the girls/guys at the chemist know this and at times feel it hard, I suppose they are doing the job the best way they know how under pressure conditions & I for one may get annoyed at them occasionally but in the long run they're only doing there job.
