Where to start with the shambles that was the Christmas Day meal.
The event was advertised as having a children's entertainer, when in reality they had a face painter literally hiding behind a Christmas tree in the corner. No kids were being entertained.
Far too busy so the food service was just a disaster. The staff looked stressed and confused to say the least. No atmosphere and after about ninety minutes some music finally came on.
Then to top it off we heard a customer who sent her meal back being called a 'fat, f**king c**t' by the waitress when she left the table.
Awful experience and ignoring my emails so far. Avoid!!!

Room was a but shabby, but staff were great and location was good. Bed was very comfy.

Sorry but would not be returning
Rooms: Starting with the bad stuff, Rooms and pretty much most of the hotel is out dated, Bed sheets were not soft, made so much noise when turning over in bed, Shower head could be better, No plugs next to your bed to charge your devices, cobwebs all over (not Halloween decorations),Now the Good Stuff, great sized room, spacious bathroom, perfect shower pressure and heat, the room is supplied with a kettle and a hot drink selection, Iron with full size ironing board and a full sized hair dryer.
Nearby activities: The Hotel does have a wellness centre which the use of is included in your stay (massages and treatments paid separately, again overpriced) The service at this part of the hotel, definitely was the opposite from the rest of the hotel, Receptionist here was rude,stressed and gave the feeling like she could not be bothered, The reception area here looked too small, the sauna and steam room was adequate but could do with an upgrade, the pool was extremely busy, wasn?t anywhere to swim
Food and drinks: Food was great but very overpriced for what you are given also drinks over priced.
There is room service, but if you get hungry for a snack after 9.30 pm, your choices are limited to 4 different sandwiches and again very overpriced, there was water fountains in the hallways which is a great idea but sadly they didn?t seem to work.

Far outside of Glasgow, no infrastructure in the area. Too few rooms prepared for our group. The bathrooms in particular were very unkempt. Extremely unfriendly staff. By far the worst hotel on our trip.

Avoid at all costs.
Visited on a business trip recently, dirty rooms, windows not closing correctly and heaters that smell of burning when turned on.
Also, breakfast the next morning was equally as bad. If you order a full english they seem prepared (probably batch cooked) but if you order something else such as avocado on toast (with a £9 supplement may I add) then expect to be waiting over 30 minutes and them have no idea that you even ordered. I ended up walking out without breakfast or I would have been late for work meetings.
I've called daily since to speak with a manager to be told "they're in a meeting at the moment, they will call you back". I've called most days chasing a manager and never spoke to one or received a call back.
Horrendous experience.

Dated and disgusting hotel, desperately needs to be refurbished. I stayed in room 107, there was a damp patch in the corner and the carpet was stained from what looks like an ongoing damp issue or leak. The bedding was stained and the bed backs onto the lift, so enjoy listening to that continuously whilst trying to sleep.
I booked 2 x optional breakfast but then contacted them in advance to say only one breakfast was required, I had to contact them repeatedly to try and cancel this breakfast to no avail, they have now said they are unable to remove this from the booking. Terrible customer service and no one is helpful, I would no recommend or return.

Wasn't actually staying there but all other family was the location is lovely but you defo need transport the staff are helpful and friendly the food and drink a tad expensive

The staff really work hard to make this a one star hotel. Our room was ridiculously hot due to a leaky hot water tap. The spa was grubby and in need of a deep clean and food was so so.
Finally house keeping just threw out an electric tooth rush I left behind by mistake. And reception if you can get through take 10 hours and 4 calls to be of any help. Management weren't available but I'm assured will call me back to discuss my misgivings, I won't hold my breath unless of course I'm in their stinky steam room again
Special shout out to Sophie on reception who was more than useless

Wonderful de stress as i feel rejuvenated with my wonderful massage - fully recomend package - lunch wardorf salad amazing - as the terminator Art says i shall be back! Yee hah!

The building makes a very nice impression from the outside, unfortunately, our room did not meet our expectations. The hotel staff were polite, but we didn't get any feedback when we asked for an earlier breakfast time. Quiet location.

The swimming pool was OK but needs alot of upgrading, the cleanliness of the sauna and steam room needs to be addressed. Here for a spa and rest day only used the pool for 45mins as the rest of the facilities aren't clean. The hotel itself needs modernised and there is such a stale smell throughout. First time here won't come back.

My review is with regards the spa within the Crutherland Hotel. I made a reservation at the spa for my sister & myself. It was to celebrate my sisters birthday. I booked on line and an employee of the spa called to confirm the date & treatments this was followed up with confirmation email. We arrived & waited for our treatments. When my sister got into the treatment room she was told she could not have the treatment requested as the machine they use was not in the room although it had all been confirmed. My sister had to have a different treatment. Package included afternoon tea which was shocking to say the least. Firstly staff seemed total unprepared for us coming into resturant. The young girl on reception desk had to ask me 3 times what name it was under & what we were booked in for. Afternoon tea consisted of white & brown sandwiches the bread was hard and thick with not very nice butter. The scone were okay but the cakes were I inedible they even looked terrible. The resturant was so cold we had to ask them to put heating on & it is in desperate need of a revamp. Not a good experience at all & I was so embarrassed as I had booked it for the special occasion. I could not complain at the spa desk as there was no one there when we were leaving.
