“We have just moved back to the area after a number of years. We needed a few things for the garden centre and visited here. It was so lovely to speak with Ewan who I hadn’t seen for such a long time. It’s so lovely to go back into a shop and to be remembered. That certainly doesn’t happen in the big garden centres! The very helpful gentleman at the counter had an absolute wealth of knowledge and answered my number of questions about plants, compost and my my plans for growing veg in our greenhouse.We left with such a lovely array of things. I do particularly love the little colourful garden table with the hummingbird. I certainly haven’t seen one before and it was so reasonably priced too! Please remember that this is a family business which was started by Ewan’s parents. I remember passing their original premises in Edinburgh many years ago. The Veitchs’ have breathed life into everyone’s dull looking gardens and transformed them with their colourful and sturdy plants. Their plants have been tenderly nurtured and their business has been at the forefront of the community in East Calder for a great number of years.
