Family stay in cottage whilst attending a nearby wedding. Lovely hotel, friendly and accommodating staff. Cottage very well decorated, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Stayed for two nights. Welcoming staff, very attentive. Rooms a good size with everything you need. The food was well prepared and tasty with good portion sizes.
A good choice at breakfast and no buffet which is a bonus. Sadly the hotel lacks any atmosphere. All the guests whisper for fear of making a noise. Background music would help a lot

It's the only place for food in Swinton, located in the middle of the main road in the village. The place is well decorated and feels welcoming. There was only one staff attending the customers when we were there. He was nice and friendly. Their homemade spice bread was nice. We ordered turkey and venison for the main, cheese plata and profiteroles for deserts. The beef was okay but the turkey tasted a bit cold and off, the desert was okay and you definitely got a lot of food for your money.

We dined in the lovely dining room overlooking the green.
Food was delicious, especially the haggis bon bons. Lovely roast beef Sunday dinner, tasty chicken and leek pie which was a full individual one, plus salmon
with honey and pineapple glaze.
I'm told the summer fruit trifle was scrummy too.

We came here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Fantastic food for a decent price and top notch service. Dog friendly too. 100% recommend dining here.
