Great food and the lady who served us was lovely, for new customers/tourists an exterior sign would have been very helpful as it's inside a garden centre but the signs just say restaurant

I had a wonderful experience organising a surprise baby shower to be held at The Potting Shed. We had a group of 13 people with differing dietary requirements. All correspondence with Purdie was timely and friendly.
Unfortunately on the day one of our party couldn?t make it, but The Potting Shed team were able to box up their afternoon tea so they could enjoy it later on.
The afternoon tea was absolutely beautiful and VERY reasonably priced, and all of the group complimented it! The venue was perfect, the staff on shift were very accommodating, and everyone left highly praising the whole event! It would not have been possible without all of Purdie?s help and also some of the staff staying back slightly later.
Thanks again! I will most definitely be recommending you to anyone looking for a group booking for afternoon tea ?

I would love to give higher but the gluten free choices are not very good we came here and the gluten free options weren't very up to standard and from what I remember it was gluten free bread and jacket potatoes and that's all they offered gluten free whise. Not happy about that but the food was generally good and nice staff and it was a friendly atmosphere.

We needed to stop for breakfast as we passed through town. I had never heard of a restaurant inside a garden supply store, but it had good reviews so we decided to try it. The Potting Shed was very cute and looked like a little greenhouse. We even bought a few fun items in the store on our way out. We?ve have had quite a few Scottish/English breakfasts on our trip across the UK, this was one of our favorites!
