“I was having a bit of a crisis when my fuel cover of my car wouldn't pop open and I was running low on petrol. I decided to pop into Halfords to see if anyone could come to my rescue. Steven, who was working today (31st July 2025) was more than happy to have a look. This wonderful man took the time to help me and managed to get the cover open! He is amazing and it was no bother to him at all. He has no idea how much I appreciated this, especially today, because he didn't need to help me. He done it out of kindness, and it was probably nothing to him, but it really meant the world to me. Thank you so much, Steven!”

“I’m not a plumber, but I get by in the house. Today I called in to see if they had a replacement nut for my bath tap. I had overtightened the plastic one, because the wife said the tap moves.I thought these sort of things were standard, only to find out they are not. They guy behind the counter said take this one, if it fits all good. If not, bring it back and we will sort you with what you need.I left and of course it didn’t fit, it was too big. So I returned with the bath tap and the same guy said ah you need 3/4” (I’m a mm or cm kind of guy). But they didn’t have any, but could have them at the store tomorrow. I said, well it will have to do. He then said if you need it done today, ScrewFix have 2 at Pitreavie and 4 at the Halbeath store.Now, he could have keep quiet and I would have been happy ordering for a collection tomorrow. But he jumped on the tinternet and found me a solution to my problem. For that I thank you mate, very much appreciated.Would I use them againHell yes”

“Bargains galore but so easy to go in for one thing and spend £20Don't let the bright lights and colours consume you.15p for a bottle of water and usually around 39p for a pepsi max, lots of pet accessories and good quality dog treats.Staff are usually always friendly, for years the managers faces were always tripping them but they're getting better.Lots of gardening stuff and blankets and quite a large food section too. I felt a bit nervous returning a faulty baby monitor after having a bit of difficulty with online customer services, but the staff member dealt with my issue instantly.
