Went in to collect a dashcam that I had bought online. I was presented with a box that had seen better days, had been opened and looked like a defective returnsd item. When I made my concerns clear I was then presented with a new dashcam. Poor show Halfords - you can do better than this.

Staff very helpful, but they had to be due to the electronic box of tricks not working (bring back the paper version). I was after wiper blades and unfortunately the only make available were Halfords. I've found these in the past to be inferior to another manufacturer, so having purchased them only time will tell.

Went in today for a bulb change in my tail light. Lady at the till was very friendly and patient, however when I went back to pick up the car I was told I needed an LED strip and not a bulb and they couldn?t help. Got a refund and this could have been a 5 star review. However, after several phone calls to other chain garages and even the Toyota dealership (none of them was willing to physically look at the car) I ended up going to an independent garage where an incredibly friendly gentleman changed the bulb in my tail light in 10 minutes and I was done.I cannot comprehend how a massive company like Halfords could make such a simple issue so complicated for me.

I visited Halfords last month for a car battery, due to some confusion about if my car was stop/start, I ended up leaving with the wrong battery.That battery worked until a few days ago, so I phoned Halfords and they told me to bring it in for a refund.While in today, the lady (Elise I think) explained that my car might have had the stop/start deactivated but still requires that battery and done an exchange for me.She was very informative and patient while sorting everything out for me and the car is now working as should be.I was extremely pleased with the customer service received today.

Placed an online order. When they picked it they accidentally picked up the wrong wiper blade, the guy that served us noticed straight away and chanced it. Always great service at this branch.

Really bad experience, purchased stereo online, ex display, arrived to collect, no cables, they found the power cable but no camera aux in etc, no fitting kit so cannot be secured safely to a vehicle the unit is damaged so the firting kit cannot be installed as there are sheared bolts on the unit itself.Drove 20 miles to the location, have to drive back.They dont even know if the unit works.They are advertising these on the website and expecting people to pay for somerhing that is deemed uselssWasted my time and my money and out of pocket as i have driven miles and will need to drive back homeReally bad experience,

Brought my disabled daughter?s trike in for repair and to remove the gears as well as tyre repairs. Went to collect the bike and as a good will gesture there was no charge for this due to my daughter?s disability. Couldn?t thank them more and really appreciate what they done. I would definitely recommend Halfords Dunfermline , they do go that extra mile.

Booked in for a windscreen repair but the appointment was cancelled twice. However I can't fault the experience after that. Johnny did a fab repair and was happy to talk through what he was doing. He was friendly, polite and very knowledgeable.

I Paid for a major service and diagnostic at the Dunfermline service centre and ended up with nothing but poor service. Received an email saying my car was ready and the service was complete with an attached invoice. When I reviewed the invoice it was for a completely different vehicle with no relevance to my service. On arrival at the garage there was no mention of the diagnostics that I had paid for and when I asked they said that there was issues but they couldn?t repair them or print off what the issues were. After some discussion he eventually did print something off that showed an issue with the diesel particle filter (DPF). Almost an hour after leaving I received a call asking me to return stating that they had forgotten to replace my engine cover. When I got back a different mechanic told me that the diagnostic had shown that the EGR valve was the issue and not the DPF. To top it all off a week later and I now have an alert telling me a service is due as they haven?t reset the system. What a complete waste of money and effort. Hang your head in shame Halfords!
