Clowns . I went in to get an Apple Watch . However I wasn?t sure about which watch to get as out of the two I seen I wasn?t sure what face size on the watch would be best suited so I went for the smaller 41 mm one . Before I opened it I explained to the staff member that if the watch face isn?t the right size then can I bring it back and I?ll pay the extra for the bigger 45 mm one . He said yes . No problem. Anyway i took it away and charged it up and the display wasn?t big enough so I took it back only to be told from another staff member that they can?t accept it back as the seal and box has been opened . They said it?s policy . It may be policy but it?s a silly policy . I said would you buy a car without test driving it . Would you buy clothes without trying them on . Anyway I went out and phoned Argos customer services and eventually got through after 30 mins to some half wit that can?t even talk English so I gave up trying to explain to that clown. Went back in to see if they had maybe thought about it and would let common sense apply. Unfortunately they didn?t . Again saying that?s their returns policy and I should have known this . Then when I explained again about the staff member telling me I could bring it back if it didn?t fit the manager admitted to me that he had spoken to the guy that told me this and the guy ( staff member)wasn?t aware of that policy. So if the staff member who works there didn?t know the policy then his should I as a customer . After all it?s just an online store . You couldn?t make it up . Anyway I gave them a chance to avoid all this as it?s away further now . The manager could have sorted this . I would have preferred if he did as I never wanted the original staff member getting pulled up for it or getting into trouble. If he does then it?s down to the manager . All this over a daft Apple Watch . Anyway the complaint is away to trading standards . The staff member telling me I could bring it back for exchange and the manager admitting that his staff member told him that . Crazy crazy , AVOID .

Purchased an item online, collected later that day from Dunfermline store. Item was damaged so I immediately returned it. First store assistant was very helpful, she ordered another item from a nearby store as there was none in stock. She told me I could collect my new item the next day and gave me the item back with a collection slip.Only down side to this, my initial 6 days to collect was then shortened to 48hrs?!Attended the store again with the item and collection slip advising that I had an item to collect and swap. Store assistant (lady, name beginning with M) was extremely rude. I presented her with the only slip I was given, for her to reply "where's your receipt?" She failed to listen to my situation and was very frustrating to talk to. Went to the extreme lengths of man-handling my phone to view my e-receipt even though it had been less that 48hrs. Argos definitely do no drop their prices that quickly Eventually, she processed my return and re-ordered the item. FYI, didn't ask if I had a nectar card- not happy!Made me sit at the collection point for a max of 1 minute- what was the point? Then called out the name of my item in front of everyone. Lucky it was nothing personal

Rude, unhelpful staff. Their manager throw our receipts away, Sale Assistant very aggressive. Both of them focus not to help us but to sent us away. Never again! People will decide how long they will stay, because previously every visit there is a new staff. Finally strange and unprofessional comments towards Argos Customer Service and CEO, claiming that shop manager is a local king!We sent a message cross our networks to avoid that place, because according to Umberto Ecco one angry customer is worth 10000 happy ones.

Not happy with Argos in-store experience!!! Whether Manager or staff the ethos and attitude is poorly. I had 2x rather large items to carry but it was too much effort for them to assist with a bag and too much effort to get a trolley to help me. It's a pity I have to see their miserable faces at the end of an overall good shopping spree. The star is for the app-experience.

I had a really good experience in store today and the staff member (I think it was Lynn) who helped me was so lovely. I felt a bit nervous returning a faulty baby monitor after having a bit of difficulty with online customer services, but the staff member dealt with my issue instantly. Retail workers are under a lot of pressure just now and it would be so easy to become negative but all of the staff were really nice. Thank you.

Worst experience with Argos ever. Generally speaking, I like Argos network and never had any issues with Dunfermline one till today 30.04. Tried to return faulty product back and got money back to my PayPal account. My request has been rejected as ?I need to show debit card attached to my PayPal account?. I?ve tried to explain these 2 women there was a payment made using a PayPal balance and No card linked to PayPal but they haven?t even tried to understand me and to be honest they were quite rude and looks really happy and complacent rejecting my requestIt?s not acceptable behaviour and I believe, the store manager should discuss this issue with them (30.04, around 3pm)

Argos sold me a bed that was meant to be here in 7 days it's now 3 weeks on and there asking me to wait another 10 days. Which I'll be lucky to get it then as they dont stock my bed now. Didnt even have the decency to contact me to tell me the order had been rescheduled. Absolutely terrible

Some of the staff are great but there's one manager who is awful. I tried to return a faulty item and was told to "take it up with the manufacturer" despite it only being a few months old. She needs to be retrained on consumer law and customer services.

Just been in to return a brand new iron that cost over £60 and got nothing but cheek and attitude from the "lady" serving. Walked out still with same broken iron...will definitely never be back in store.

Very very rude fat faced manager, did not accept ma return even though i bought it 2 days ago and bits were missing, very very bad service, hope argos does something about this, no chance this store will last

Bordering on illegal !! The manager here has no clue about consumer rights. Dealt with a different store who knew what they were talking about instead .. Dunfermline manager is rude and arrogant .. Quick enough to take your money but not so quick to help when there is a problem. Note to staff . You might wanna brush up on the consumer rights act !!

I returned tu clothing 7 items it took ages waiting one girl in charge showed the other one how to do return she took ages while the other one served and left me waiting ! Not happy...then she gave me 2x half pieces of my receipt and said that was proof of what was returned but they didnt show 7 items she said id get an email....but i dont have proof that i took 7 items back....
