As I look towards retirement in a few years Paul was recommended by a close friend to help with some questions on my short term savings strategy whilst still in employment. Having recently returned to Dundee and taken a new job I felt now (late 30's) was a good time to take more control over my young family?s future and secure our financial position with selective pensions and investments. I also wanted to clearly define a path towards retirement to give us the opportunity to make lifestyle choices on the way and fully understand the impact of them.Paul helped us carry out a lot of fact finding upon our current financial position, including income and expenditure gathering, and used this data to complete cash flow models of various future scenarios, which was extremely enlightening. He also briefed us upon passive investment and using diversified index funds with low management charges to minimise costs and reduce risk, this really struck a chord with us.The immediate benefits are that we feel much more knowledgeable and confident about investments and savings which will help us take more control of our finances. We've also moved our Stocks & Shares ISA from an active to passive fund and made some adjustment to a couple of pensions. It's early days to determine the results of these changes however we are much clearer on what our future may look like and would recommend others do similar.I couldn't have asked for any more assistance than was given, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced, recommended highly!

Paul did a thorough job of assessing my financial situation ,forecasting my future needs and looking through the potential pitfalls. Only after this process was completed did we take the big decisions around pensions and the best way forward. He has always given good advice even when it may not be in his best financial interest. He takes great time to understand the person and always replies promptly to any requests. You feel you are dealing with an individual with a decent set of values rather than a faceless organisation .

My wife and I have been totally satisfied with Paul from Verus Wealth right from the get go. Retiring late 2014 from a large oil service company left us with 3 pension pots and a need for some advice on how best to access these pensions. Paul established our views on risk, took a view on our life style and then took us through the options on what best to do regarding pensions and planning for the most efficient inheritance choices. Paul took time to explain everything in a sensible and layman way, for us to make the correct choices for the short to medium term.
