I've tried booking an appointment on their site, I've tried calling, I even went there and it was closed(on a day that it was supposedly open). I couldn't get to anyone at all.

I used to suffer with persistent headaches and thought that was just me. I thought my eyesight was good so didn?t realise the importance of getting my eyes tested and wearing my glasses but since Alison tested me and explained how my eyes were constantly straining to focus and it was likely causing my headaches. Since wearing my glasses my headaches have disappeared. I would highly recommend Lindsay and Johnson for their friendliness and great care.

Friendly and helpful staff. Alison was clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. The appointment wasn't at all rushed and everything was thoroughly investigated and explained. Also seemed to have a good choice of frames to suit a range of budgets.

Lindsay and Johnson have been looking after my eyes since I was a little girl and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The experience they provide is personal, caring and honest. They have a brilliant selection of glasses and are superb with contact lenses too. There is nowhere else that can provide such a fantastic family friendly optician service.

Fantastic service all round; very friendly staff who listen to what YOU want (no pressure to buy expensive frames), very thorough eye examination, generous appointment times which meant we did not feel rushed rushed into making decisions & had time for questions. Wonderful with children; the optometrist explained why my 7 year old needed to wear glasses & how they would help improve her vision. All of my family use this optician & wouldn?t go anywhere else. Can?t recommend her too highly.

Lindsey and Johnson have been my opticians for a number of years and I have only good things to say about them. From the receptionists who are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful to the optician who is extremely professional and explains all options clearly, enabling easy decisions. They have a great choice for frames too for optical glasses and sunglasses. It is so nice to go to an independent optician where the service is so personal. I am also pleasantly surprised that their frames are so affordable; when I compared them to national companies their prices are actually cheaper on similar frames.

Having had a bad experience with a corporate optician recently, I was glad I came here. Alison was very friendly and explained everything well. The private room for choosing frames was a nice touch; I had been wearing the same old style for many years and Vikki was very patient and helpful in showing me different options to update my look. For once I didn't feel rushed at any point, and there was no confusion about my history (as there can be in large companies where you rarely see the same person twice). Great service all around!

I was recommended onto Lindsay and Johnson by the owner of Spex Pistols and I am very glad I followed up on that recommendation.The staff were all lovely and knowledgeable, i was instantly made to feel as though I had been visiting the surgery for years! The eye examine was smooth and very thorougher, all the while being explained to me by the lovely optician. She even let me see the photographs of my eyes, something I had never been allowed to do before. Would highly recommend this surgery to anyone.

My wife and I would not go anywhere else. All staff are very friendly and extremely professional. I trust Mrs Johnson completely, and she is the only person who has ever put drops in my eyes. One is kept completely informed throughout the examination with helpful advice and information.

The staff here are very helpful and they make you feel at home the moment you step in. My eye test went very smoothly and I was told what the condition of my eyes was and the information was very clear and easy to understand. They seem to personally know their patients too. I will definitely come here again!
