Visited spontaneously on Sunday night for the first time. I have no idea why I had never been there before. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, truly 5-star. I will definitely be returning soon.

A really tasty Thai green curry, full of flavour and aroma with just enough of a kick to get you going! My wife and I had a great meal, we'll definitely be back... Another great restaurant in the Ferry.

Great service, staff excellent going out of their way to ensure we had a good time. We were a large party, including young children, and they coped very well, being very patient with us and very accommodating.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available

Had an amazing birthday meal with friends .Food and service were great .Staff were very polite and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their food . I had the pan-fried sea bass which was cooked to perfect , tasty and filling . Will definitely be back .Cant recommend this restaurant highly enough . Thanks again Orchid .

We were booked in for a 3pm sit down on Christmas Day and didn't get away until 5.45pm. The starters took a while to come out and they were on the verge of being cold, portion size was tiny and more of an appetiser than a starter. The wait for the main course wasn't as bad but the portions were inconsistent, swimming in gravy, undercooked pigs in blankets and bland. The plates took a long time to clear and desser eventually came out, we were confused at the wait as they were served cold anyway and didn't see the need for the long wait. The service was slow and the drinks orders were mixed up and one came in a dirty glass. I hadn't visited before and don't think I would come back.

First visit to the Orchid and loved it. Very friendly front of house staff. Felt like they were really going out of their way to show their hospitality. We were served by a young girl who was training/new but she was supported by a supervisor. The menu has a great range of everything on it, not a clear overall type of cuisine. Highly recommend the Thai green curry which they made sure was to my mothers spice preference. The seafood linguine was lovely and the sauce was very morish. It also came with a generous amount of garlic bread. Enjoyed it so much we stayed for coffee and dessert. Bill came with after dinner mints which you don't get very often these days. Overall great experience and will be back to try the hanging kebab. Only down side was that there was no way to book online or see the up to date menu on the website etc. Think they are missing some online presence as it was quiet and could do with more people knowing about it.

Great restaurant, great service. Absolutely beautiful meal had by everyone. . Recommend Thai green curry and chorizo and prawn starter or small plate. Cant wait to go back.

We were so disappointed. The food was nice but the service was atrocious . The staff had to check our orders 8 times just ridiculous. When food came it was wrong and my friend got a meal that wasn't even on the menu! The desserts were very sweet and knickerbocker glory was nothing like it should have been it had vanilla ice cream with grapes in bottom and flake on top. Drinks were wrong also. The whole night was spoiled and expensive. There were only 4 tables of 3-4 people in so not that busy. Certainly won't revisit.

Absolutely fantastic, food was amazing. We went with 8 people and the choice suited everyone. Quality & taste is superb. Would highly recommend to anyone ????

Went for lunch with a friend. Opted for the Christmas menu. I had the salmon friend had turkey. All of the food was delicious the staff were lovely and the value for money was great. Will be back to try the Thai pan Asian food. Can?t wait .
